Grits and Shins
According to New York Newsday staffer Tom Rock, it's not official, but Brandon Jacobs won't play tonight despite practicing all week while Derrick Ward appears to be ready to even after being held out of Friday's practice to rest his sore ankle. It should be noted that ESPN.com's John Clayton continues to suggest that Reuben Droughns will play a more significant role again this week with Ward nicked. I can't find any of the local reporters, however, sharing in that belief. Meanwhile, FOXSports.com insider John Czarnecki this morning chimed in with what's become the unanimous belief that Plaxico Burress will continue to line up as the starter despite his sprained ankle. Still, as Rock suggested, the running game will be huge tonight. The Eagles will be making sure to have bodies in the secondary on Burress, Jeremy Shockey and Amani Toomer, so there should be room to run. tonyr0802
Per Rotoworld: Newsday reiterates that Brandon Jacobs (knee) is highly unlikely to play Sunday night against the Eagles.Jacobs should be very close to 100 percent for Week 5, but it will be a big surprise if he's active tonight. Derrick Ward (ankle) is expected to start and can be penciled into fantasy lineups as a flex.

Randall
I can't find it anywhere on the ESPN site... I couldn't either. Maybe it's "according to a janitor cleaning out Dan Patrick's locker" at ESPN?
The Misfit
Look at Blitz's post above ... It should be noted that ESPN.com's John Clayton continues to suggest that Reuben Droughns will play a more significant role again this week with Ward nicked. Sounds like it's John Clayton saying Ward will not play (or not play much). Everything else I read seems to suggest Ward will start tonight. Ursa Majoris
Oh God, why do I play this stupid game? I actually have Droughns on one team. Do I start him? Or not?
Menudo
Oh God, why do I play this stupid game? I actually have Droughns on one team. Do I start him? Or not? I just removed Ward from my lineup and inserted Brian Leonard. I actually loved Ward's matchup w/ the Eagles, but, I'm not going to take that chance. capostatus
so what the hell is the correct info? im hearin he'll start, im hearin hes out. ive got no other player to replace him with injuries and betts/lendale white on bye
tonyr0802
From rotoworld: ESPN's John Clayton is reporting that Reuben Droughns is likely to start for the Giants on Sunday night. This may be speculation on Clayton's part. He suggests that Derrick Ward (ankle) may sit out the game, and Brandon Jacobs (knee) has a chance to play, but that goes against everything that's been written during the week in New York and indications from coach Tom Coughlin. If we had to guess, we'd still believe Ward will be active and start against the Eagles. This situation is a mess
