theeohiostate
If Jordan is out, does Oakland go to Rhoades or see if Fargas can carry the rock. He's done well today. 18 carries for 147 yards...........in the 2nd half

drm1125
Fargas is not good, he'd had many chances and never really got anything going. He also gets hurt at the drop of the hat. I owned him a couple of years ago, very frustrating player. Rhodes is better.
sp3ctr3
So I was just offered Jordan for Rhodes as a trade in my league, is the Jordan injury that bad?

RaiderSteve
Believe me I have seen Fargas many times. He is not that good. Miami run D is horrid! I hope Jordan comes back strong after the bye.
Slugs
Raiders' Jordan sidelined by back injury September 30, 2007 MIAMI (AP) -- Oakland Raiders running back LaMont Jordan left Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins shortly before halftime with a back injury. Jordan was hurt when he was tackled following a 7-yard reception. He was helped off the field, then went to the locker room sitting up on a cart. Jordan was the Raiders' leading rusher with 350 yards in their first three games.

I hope Jordan comes back strong after the bye. +1 He's not good at all, has a hard time following blocks and is not patient enough for the holes. Miami run d is awful. Return Of S&B
If Jordan is out for any significant amount of time I suspect Rhodes will be the starter but Fargas will get his share of the carries as well. Yes, Fargas had been awful in the past, but I think he works well with the new finesse-type blocking scheme Knapp/Cable brought from Atlanta. Fargas is definitely a slasher who goes down pretty easily when tackled but with the new coaching he appears to be hitting the holes quicker and with more authority then before. byron2112
Yeah, Fargas is nothing special, and miami clearly stinks at stopping the run but, as a Raider fan the hope is that this new zone blocking scheme is developing into a plug and play system like the broncos. They have been running the ball a heckuva a lot better with basically the same lineman. At any rate, Fargas isn't built to carry the load, so I'm sure Rhodes will get his share of carries. kingfish247
Michael Bush? Any info there, Oakland homers?
theeohiostate
I don't think Fargas is great, but it could be the system that is allowing for such nice rushing being produced in Oakland this season ala Denver. If that's the case, then Fargas is worth a look if Jordan is out for awhile. I'm sure Rhoades gets a shot, but more then likely he's already on someone's roster, Fargas on the other hand isn't and i think is worth a flyer. This offense is MUCH better then anyone had anticipated and CPep looks healthy and their line looks good as well.
ReturnToSender
But does Rhoades just jump in and "become: the starter? Is he in shape, has he been practicing?
Return Of S&B
Michael Bush? Any info there, Oakland homers? Bush is currently on the PUP list and I think the Raiders have until mid-season to decide to activate him or put him on the IR list for the rest of the season. He has a steel-rod in his leg and I believe the Raiders want to be cautious with him, not rush him back, so he could be their potential franchise RB of the future As for Rhodes, I believe they signed him precisely because Jordan tends to get knicked. I suspect Rhodes will be the starter after the bye week (if Jordan is out of course) and will be the primary back untill Jordan gets back. Fargas should see more time now that he has shown the he can produce behind the new blocking scheme though. They also have another guy from USC (?) called Joe Echimemundu who showed some potential during the preseason...so I highly doubt Michael Bush will be activated this season
MERLINS
Jordans injury came at a horrible time..............imagine the stats he would of had if he was 100%. He would of had a 200yd day. I hope to Gawd he comes back stronger than ever after the bye week. I think he is the run game for Oakland, not either of Fargas or Rhodes. Bush is the future for sure.
