FishFreak
This guy looks much better than Maroney in this offense. He seems like the better runner, goal line back and receiver and his production proves it. This situation reminds me of the Cowboy situation. Barber is the better back but JJ continues to start. Any chance Morris takes over and Maroney becomes the change of pace guy?
piratesownninjas
I highly doubt it at this point. Maroney really hasn't been healthy enough to get rolling.
theeohiostate
I don't see before last night against one of the NFL's worst D's , that Morris has looked better then Maroney( Maroney didn't even play, and would have easily matched the same production, imo) What game can you point out where Morris looked better then Maroney? piratesownninjas
Maroney has rushed for 4.7 a carry... Marinate on that.
RaiderSteve
I am still trying to work on what happened last night? Up until game time Maroney seemed to be almost a sure start. I guess it's hard to guess with injuries when it comes to the Pats. It will be interesting to see what happens this week. If Maroney gets in there he is sure to put up some pretty decent numbers against the Browns.
Balzac
Maroney has rushed for 4.7 a carry... Marinate on that. And Morris has run for 5.0 . . . As someone who's watched every Pats game this year (and rarely misses a game in any event), I've been saying since week 1 that Morris is the better overall back *right now*. He runs and hits holes harder, has better hands and doesn't "dance" the way Maroney does. I think Maroney has worlds of talent, but it still seems to me like he hasn't fully harnessed it yet (hence the *right now*). Morris has been around the block a few times and is an all-around solid RB - he's not going to knock anyone's socks off, but he's a good back. Could he shoulder a 20 cpg load? I have no idea (though I tend to doubt it). There's a reason the Pats went out and got this guy after playing against him the last few years - he's no joke. yo mama
Too bad no one was telling us about Sammie Morris *before* draft time.
Balzac
Too bad no one was telling us about Sammie Morris *before* draft time. I assume this is sarcasm - Sammy was noted as a sleeper in a few places. I certainly made sure to get him on my squad.

FishFreak
Many on this site and other places were highly skeptical of Maroney as a 1st round pick much less an every down back. Sammy Morris was also mentioned as a sleeper prior to drafting. it's just that many people like myself didn't take him seriously or just had him off our radar. Overall, Maroney is hurt yet again, isn't involved in the passing game and gets pulled near the goal line.....not very attractive fantasy wise. Sammy on the other hand has been much more productive with the touches he gets.

Balzac
Lmao Sammy Morris. You guys are funny.... Didn't Sammy actually average slightly more ypc than Ronnie Brown last year? Also outproduced him on a per touch basis on the receiving front. Odd that you'd lyao at a RB who outproduced MIA's starting RB last year on a per touch basis. peepinmofo
Anyone tout Earnest Graham? I remember seeing him in several games, but behind caddy he wouldnt play... unless caddy got hurt. He did, and Graham will get touches... I actually have a funny feeling he will get a lot more than people seem to think, and I think they use Pittman as a 3rd down/CoP back... More RBBC than anything really.
