After we lose to Cal and Oregon, I suppose it won't matter. After hearing about Booty's cracked finger I almost forgave him and put it all on Coach Carroll, until I saw the lockerroom interview on ESPN. As he talked about 'putting this one behind us', and 'it happens', JDB was actually smiling. Suffering succotash!?!? I puked a little in my mouth, and almost put my foot through the tv... That tells me all I need to know about the obvious differences between him and Palmer/Leinart. Until Sat. night, I was thinking it was more his young WRs fault than his, and/or possibly the loss of 2 starting O-linemen, but not anymore. Bring on Sanchez, or even McDonald, Pete - you have a good excuse now with the finger boo-boo, so pull the trigger. Please don't be a stubborn old fart and make me start to doubt you too... Looking on the bright side, this loss has obviously relieved some pressure. That is, the words 'Heisman-hopeful' + Booty, and 'NC title-hopeful' + Trojans, won't be used in the same sentences anymore. Unless the word 'former' is in front of it.....f!@#k me.... I respect the AP more because they opted out of it. Well that and the fact that, unlike the coaches, there's at least a chance that the guys voting actually watched more than one team each week.
