XBonesX
Looks like LT won't even get to 15 td's at this rate.....with Norv pulling him late in games, and not giving him enough touches in general. Freakin great
Doc Holliday
You know a guy is great when someone says " Looks like LT won't even get to 15 td's at this rate" You could trade him...but what do you think the team is gonna do when they are blowing someone out? play LT and get him hurt? twiley
I thought he had a decent game yesterday. Why risk injury to your best player when you're killing your oppenent?
msaint
what i've noticed more than past years is his getting caught from behind or running out of steam on a couple of his long runs/catches. used to be, no way anyone tracks him down, he's gone....but he doesn't seem to have that extra gear this year, for whatever reason. I've noticed that too. He's also doing alot of running out of bounds when it looks like he's going to get hit. Madden even brought up the fact that he's seeing alot of running backs doing the same thing this year.

Freakin great Well, now that SD is back from the dead this week, I think LT will right the ship. Look around the NFL with all the RBs that are either nicked up or done for the year. LT has the real chance of pouring it on now, and just having a stud RB still healthy is a major advantage. Looks like LT owners will have a huge advantage the rest of the year. Bring Back Pat!!!
It's all about perspective and expectations. In all three leagues which I have access to player rankings right now, LT is the #2 back behind Ronnie Brown.

The Irish Doggy
I get the feeling that unless a RB gets 150 yards and 2TDs every week, some people think he's a bust.
bok_choy
If LT has an off year by LT standards he still finishes as a top 5 back at the end of the year. You'd be silly to expect last years performance a second time...but a bust? C'mon now. Considering the overall state of RBs in the league this year, you still have a HUGE advantage over the other teams in your league.
detlef
LOL at the bust call. The #1 overall rarely repeats. Why? because there's only one guy who can be #1 so the odds just aren't in your favor. You took LT because he had the best chance of being a top flight RB. Guess what. That's exactly what he is. Ask the guys who picked S Jax, LJ, and Gore picks 2-4 if they think LT is a bust. Hell, ask the guys who took S Alexander. With all 1st round picks that are simply not producing anything near what you'd hope, you should not be pissed about LT's production. As for running out of bounds, with the way dudes are going down, I think his coaches are fine with it.

I don't agree with this comment. I was watching a game either last year or the year before and the Chargers were playing the G-Men. LT broke a run off the right side and was in the clear and I owned him and thought 80 yard TD coming my way. Only to watch in amazement as Justin Tuck tracked him down from behind and brought him down. To me when watching LT it's not about his overall pure speed, cause a bunch of guys are faster then him. He's so good because all his skills are top-notch. His vision is amazing, his agility to make the cutback, strength to bowl guys over, usually using that devastating stiff arm and his acceleration through holes and off of a cutback. I've seen LT tracked down from behind before, not often but's it's happened. LT's not a speedster, however, he is the Best all around RB. Maybe it's happening more this year but I just thought the line where..."it used to be no way anyone tracks him down, he's gone..." isn't entirely the case and wasn't in past years. By the way I just traded for LT and couldn't be happier as he should have a very solid 2nd half. He's Top 5 now and has a great shot at being the #1 overall RB in the league again. The thing people can't do is expect numbers like he put up last year. He had a phenominal year and will mostly likely never reach those heights again. I mean how many RBs will? 1stand10
When did i say he was a bust? Your title to this post. "LT is done, no longer a top back (at least this year)" That pretty much says he is a bust....no?
XBonesX
no. maybe i should fix "top back" coming into the year, there were only 3 TOP backs, all three have not lived up to it so far this year. detlef
Great job. Did You draft all 3 or trade for 1? Drafted. I reluctantly took Brown because I had to at that point, but to be honest was not excited about it at the time and even less so after week 2. AP was a gift and I have no idea why he was still there. A bunch of real maybes were there at that pick.
