so early...........I think we all agree we will see USC, OU, FLA all get in the mix in the next few weeks...........

BC

USF

WVU....... something has to shake out with these 3, seriously.

Not really sold on Mizz or S Carolina - I think the above plus Oregon are better

A long way to go- the top 10 will look MUCH different by the end of the year

The main reason most of us are not completely sold on these teams is quite simple... They aren't the norm. But let's face facts. If BC, USF or WVU were playing Colorado, Auburn or Stanford right now just about everyone of us would put our money down on the prior rather than the latter. So, it may all come out in the wash but it's difficult to dispute where they are right now which, in turn, lends credibility to the possibility that at least one of them will still be there much later down the road.

A couple of additional thoughts...

I don't see FLA in the mix so to speak because they've already lost twice and may very well lose again. USC is probably good for one more loss as well given their schedule and the fact that they managed to lose twice last year to "lesser" opponents. OU really should ride out the rest of the year but then again they should've probably blown Colorado out.

I too have concerns about Mizzou, due in large part to the fact that they spanked NEB... very similarly to the way USC did.

All that said, definitely a long way to go.

We will see this weekend what Mizz is made of. They have looked very good as of late.

The Sooners better take full advantage this weekend and blow the doors off Missouri if they hope to have any remote chance of climbing back in contention for the BSC NC. From what I can see Missourit is the only team left on the Sooners schedule that could possbile gain them some much needed points in the computer rankings. Considering the Sooners are 10 point favorites at home one would think anything less than a 2 TD win would be viewed as a disappointment this Saturday.
