Rudi To Start vs. KC ?

News: Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis told The Cincinnati Enquirer that RB Rudi Johnson (hamstring) will play Week 6 at Kansas City. Johnson missed the Bengals' last game Oct. 1 because of the injury, but he practiced Friday without incident. The Bengals officially list him as probable.

Analysis: Lewis also said that Kenny Watson, who replaced Johnson Oct. 1, would also play, perhaps hinting that the two would split carries. Still, Johnson's Fantasy owners should insert him back into their lineups and consider him a No. 1 Fantasy RB against Kansas City's 24th-ranked run defense.

Tough call..This has start him-early tweak-you're screwed written all over it

I really agree with this as I wrestle with this in my local. I am leaning toward starting Rudi and taking the chance. Otherwise I have to start Sammy Morris. But I keep waffling on this.

That was my first thought when he got upgraded to Probable!!! I've got my biggest game of the season this week, I'm pretty much the only team that has a chance to beat the top team in my local dynasty. I've got decent other options for flex---F. Taylor, E. Graham, B. Engram, but Rudi by far has the most upside of that group, and I kinda need upside this week. I guess I'll be waking up in 5 hours for the 7am pregame.

I wouldn't hesitate to start Sammy Morris over Rudi this week, especially since it looks like Maroney could either be limited or inactive again. Unfortunately for me, it's either Rudi or Kenny, and I feel like I'm going to get screwed either way.

Seahawks, you're not that jazzed about Engram's upside this weekend? I picked him up in a league this week because of his upside. I know what you guys mean...I also have Graham and Rudi, and picked up Watson as insurance. Split carries is a disaster for that roster move. Curious to know what you think about Engram here, Seahawks - good luck to all.

I"m pretty much screwed at my RB position in my one league. I have to start Brian Leonard and either Johnson or Watson since Parker is on a bye - and so is Kevin Jones. I am going to go with Watson and just cross my fingers.

I just changed my lineup, and am now starting Engram. Bobby is almost never an "upside guy". Should get his 5 for 80 and a TD.

Gotta be Watson...he'll get half the carries as it stands now....and if Rudi tweeks that hammy, Watson gets an even greater share.

Why risk starting an injured player who, at best, will only get 12-14 touches?

i'm thinking about starting both ?

I honestly think Watson is the play here. Rudi's active and might get some carries just to see how he'll perform at game speed, however, there's just too much risk, as not only could he reinjure himself but I just don't think he'll get that much work. Watson should have a very solid day.

I decided to do start Morris. We'll see how that works out...but thanks for the response!

+1

I'm going to start Morris over Rudi. At least I know Morris will get the goal-line carries, and there's no guarantee Maroney will play at all. Rudi, at best, will be splitting (but not starting).

I'm starting Watson over Rudi. Rudi is active but not starting? Don't like the smell of it.

Pretty much sealed the deal for me as well, especially when I heard Rudi wasn't starting. So this probably means Rudi will get three TDs today. :D
