Big Country
I will start this out with a caveat- I have not taken into consideration the different number of games played, though I have included those numbers in the table I will post below. This year, more so than I can recall in years past, it appears there is close to some pariy in value across the positions. Now, the basic method for evaluating value, utilizing the last starter method, is to subtract the number of points scored by the last starter at a position from the points scored of all players at that position. This gives us a value number that we can then utilize to compare players across positions. In the last few years, it has seemd that RBs occupied 7 of the top 10 spots and about half of the top 25. That seems to have changed, at least throug hthe first third of the season. Utilizing a 12-team league, starting 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K and 1 D and usingthe Huddle Standard Scoring, the top 25 breaks out this way: QB - 5 RB - 7 WR - 8 TE - 4 K - 0 D - 0 It will be interesting to see how these numbers pan out at the end of this season (and once all players are on equal ground in terms of games played), but thus far, from a value perspective in fantasy football, it is appearing to be more balanced than in year's past. Just some food for thought and discussion. Avernus
we're only about 40% of the way into the season...there's still a lot of football left... I think RB's will come up stronger down the stretch when the weather starts getting cold and windy in areas...
