Javon Walker to have knee surgery

Just traded for Walker in a PPR redraft (Engram for Walker, actually). I already am struggling through with Andre Johnson and Andre Davis on my very small bench. My question for you guys out there is if you think he'll perform at all later in the season. In all likelihood, Denver's season is done, especially with the Henry suspension in the works. Do they rush Javon back out there for the last fee games?

Is it safe to drop Walker in a redraft?

I think, from his injury history, Javon will be back when he can play and give it his all, no matter the record. Can you get by with what you have without dropping Walker? Is yer league keeper?

I have a similar dilema. I have Walker in a keeper league along with Wayne and Boldin, but I'm only going to be able to keep two of them anyway. I could put Walker on IR, but then he won't be able to play for me again this season. They're saying four weeks, but knee injuries always seem to go beyond the original prognosis. I'm guessing that it will be Week 12 before Walker plays again, and that's if there's no complications. He might be able to help fantasy teams during their playoff runs, but that's a long time to tie up a valuable roster spot, especially with the way this season has gone so far.

LOL, he lists twice in your quote it's a redraft. I think you can drop him and maybe be able to pick him back up.

This would be a great week to play PIT -3 1/2.

Walker is out, Bailey looks like he might be too, PIT will shut down DEN's run pretty well with the DEN O-line injuries, and Parker should have a great day running the ball.

If you're a nickel bettor, this ought to be worth at least a dime.

Not to be a selfish fantasy owner and all but why didn't Walker get surgery on the knee earlier and not AFTER the bye week?

Walker and the Broncos staff were hoping that the swelling would go down on it's own and/or he would be able to play through it. After a couple of days of practice, it must have become obvious that it wasn't going to happen and that surgery was the best option.
