Jeff Garcia is a fruit...

...ful QB. He always seems to find the open man and just lays that ball right in there. There is no way in hell I would ever have him on fantasy team because I just don't go that way, but they sure seem to love him down there in Tampa.

:D

No offense intended, just having a little fun on a Friday...

Anyway, yesterday he was interviewed on NFL Total Access, and at the end of the show Rich Eisen mentioned that Garcia had threatened to stop the interview because of a question that was asked. This question, whatever it was, was not televised. Anyone know what it was? Maybe the T.O. comment??

It was in regards to the Roy Williams' comments this week. When Rich Eisen asked him his thoughts, he said "I said if I was asked that question I would get up and walk out, but I'm going to give you guys the respect and sit here."

Cause he blamed everybody else. He blamed everybody else but himself. Like it’s (the receivers’) fault. In the West Coast system, my son can run the West Coast system and he’s only two.

I mean, I respected the man but I just didn’t like the fact that it would be our fault and never his fault. With Jon, even if it’s our fault he’s like it’s my fault, my bad, I gotta make a better throw. But we know deep down inside we should have caught that ball or we should’ve run a better route. But that’s just what a quarterback should do. … It’s like if you run a route and if you drop it or the DB makes a good play, he gets all animated and gets jacked up, and it’s our fault we did this or it’s always the receiver fault.

Here is what Roy Williams said about Garcia

"He blamed everybody else," Williams said of Garcia when the two were together in Detroit. Williams made these comments on W***-AM in Detroit. "He blamed everybody else but himself. Like it's (the receivers') fault. In the West Coast system ... my son can run the West Coast system and he's only two."

BTW here is the Garcia's fiance, not bad for a "fruit" :D

Asked why Garcia struggled in Detriot, Williams said, "Cause he blamed everybody else. He blamed everybody else but himself. Like it's [the receivers']fault. In the West Coast system, my son can run the West Coast system and he's only two."

In a unprecedented move, University of Texas coach Mack Brown received a verbal commitment from Williams' son Tuesday.

I can understand why people think the guy is gay and, for all I know, they may be right. I mean, it certainly wouldn't surprise me a bit. However, as a Niner fan going back, I'll always be a fan and the dude played his heart out and showed more courage on the field than most. If he needed to dive head first for an extra yard, he did. All in all, dude gets waaayyy to much crap and doesn't get nearly enough respect from players and fans alike. Well that is, fans outside of SF and Phill. Hmm. come to think of it, one of those cities is known for celebrating "alternative lifestyles" and one is the city of brotherly love... :D NTTAWWT.

As for the moran who wouldn't have him on his fantasy team because "he doesn't go that way"? Wow. Between that and the photo, me thinks you might protest too much?

Here is what Roy Williams said about Garcia

And the other side of the story...

"As a quarterback, you're always shouldering the blame," he said. "I had no problem absorbing whatever it was that I had to absorb (at times) when we weren’t able to win football games. We play this game as a team and everybody's responsible and everybody has to have accountability. That's where I felt that, at times, there wasn’t a whole lot of accountability among everyone in that locker room."

Then, Garcia, in a later interview, added the following: "I can't force players to take their playbook home with them. I can't force players to get in the weight room. I can't force players to watch more film. That's up to each and every individual player."

So in other words, Roy WIlliams, shut up, get your fat ass in the gym and take your play book home with you. :D

Thanks. You can't ever have a discussion about Garcia without pics like that.
