A little love for the Wolverines

6 in a row since the horrible start to the season. This includes wins over Penn State, Purdue, and now Illinois (on the road without Mike Hart). Not HUGH, but what looked like their worst season in a long time at the start has taken a nice turn for the better. In what has been the strangest college football season in recent memory, they may salvage some pride yet.

Still interesting that they fell from number 5 out of the top 25 for losing to Appalachian State while USC only dropped to 9 after losing to 41 point underdog Stanford (whom Appalachian State would beat).

In any case, it's nice to see them turn it around the best they can. They control their own destiny regarding the Big Ten but end at Wisconsin and Ohio State at home. Should be interesting.

They looked OK tonight. Illinois had so many costly penalties and that key fair catch muff. Could have gone either way really.

I'm thinking with Hart, they tear up Illinois.

Michigan rolls Minnesota next week to stay on their roll. They'll be ranked between 12 and 15 when they play OSU.

Got to have Michigan beat OSU. I dont see Penn St doing it.

I don't see Michigan doing that. Contain Hart and shut down Manningham, and that team is pretty average. Their defense is decent, but far from strong.

I think we see OSU go down in Happy Valley next week.

A focus Bucks team will not lose to Penn St or Michingan, they are simply better then both by a long shot this season.

The game that worries me most is Illinois, which falls inbetween both of the big games. Don't know if the Bucks will be focused on that one.

I remember taking a break from this forum mostly because of the pissing contest you and Sarge had together. Two people who have the same level of language comprehension and the grammar equivalent of junior high kids.

You are hysterical, already setting up your Buckeyes. A "focused" team will not lose...so when they do, or if they drop to Illinois, you can fall back on the excuse that they must have not been focused. :D

Methinks you know they are a chump team that's #1.

USC didn't fall as far as Michigan did because we knew who USC was. The country wasn't sure, at that point, how bad the Wolverines were. What hurt them again was when Oregon came to the big house and kicked their A$$. Were they as bad as we thought they were? NO. I'm glad to see them right the ship and if Henne plays well they have a legitimate shot of beating OSU this year, despite Lloyd Carr. :D
