Fred Taylor

Hat's off to you, Fred, as you close in on 10K yards. :D

The most ridiculed fantasy player EVER on any message board has had himself a VERY good career. Stat last night . . . of all the RBs with 7K+ rushing yards, Fred is the only one not to play in the Pro Bowl!!

Wonder if these boards had anything to do with that?

Thanx for the entertainment Fred! :D

Anyone else notice a point here?

Not only is Taylor dissed by fantasy football aficionados, but his peers also diss him.

Poor guy is the Rodney Dangerfield of NFL RB's. No respect from the casual fan or professional football players. :D

Fred Taylor, The most bashed player in this board's existence!

He is? I would thing Harrington or Aaron Brooks are bashed more, but I get your point.

After his injuries early in his career he has done well and rarely gets picked high in drafts.

I've always liked Fred Taylor, and thought he got a bad rap with the 'fragile' thing. He has had a nice career.

Agreed...and the RBBC is allowing him to stay healthy and fresh at this stage of his career...he could play several more seasons and be productive.

I've alway liked Freddy T. But looking at some of the other names on that list and seeing most only make it to 2-3 Pro Bowls I guess it shouldn't be that surprising. THis one kinda surprised me a little:

John Rigins - 11352 - 1-time Pro Bowler: 1975 (wasn't even his best season)

And you have to think of some of the names that were chosen over Freddy too:

I personally believe Fred has had the prettiest running style in the game to watch over the last ten years. His running style is so fluid, yet he runs with a lot of power and explosiveness. He is the perfect blend of size, speed, and agility, and he flat out runs his butt off. He really is one of the best between the 20's.

I will never forget that game (05) when Mike Doss had been talking trash in the media about Freddie. At one point in the game, Taylor broke through to the secondary and was one on one with guess who at about the 20 yard line?

Ole' Fred didn't juke, didn't cut, what did he do?

He ran straight through and over Mr. Doss and left him crumpled in a heap at the 20 yard line and ran backwards into the endzone as if to say, "Care to repeat that!"

One of the most amazing and satisfying runs I have ever seen a player make...

lest you forget in the first meeting, Doss blasted Taylor, forcing a game changing fumble. :D

And it was Taylor who caused the media ruckus because he said that Doss said something to the effect of "you forgot something" after that strip.

I didn't know the entire preceding story. What I knew was Taylor was upset at some of Doss' comments, and made him pay dearly for it.

I've been searching for the vid and now that I think about it, it may have been in 03--making the search difficult...
