RJV
Ok so I have Rivers and Chambers in mt FFL. I am hoping, as well as many others, that this trade with help out both Rivers and Chamber owners. 1.Do you guys think Rivers is going to throw the ball more? 2.Do you think Chambers will get LESS yards per catch BUT more TDs?? 3.How does Chambers' trade to SD effect LT and Gates?? rebdog
1. no 2. more yards per catch, more TDs, less catches 3. only good effect for LT. might steal one or two of Gates' TDs along the way but otherwise good for him as well in terms of opening things up. i'm optimistic and very impatient to see Chambers on the field with us. Square
I'll admit that I'm tempted to start Chambers this week, but I think I'm opting for Holmes and just wait and see. FF is a lot of educated guessing, but I can't remember a player like Chambers being traded to another team mid-season that has a similiar offense in well...pretty much ever. So basically I'm going to play it safe and just hope we get a good idea of how many targets and oportunities he gets in the first week at SD. You could really make an argument for a lot of different things happening as far as overall offensive production at SD.
alexgaddis
I would not start Chambers in his first game with a new team...I would want to see how things develop first... I am starting Vincent Jackson this week due to bye week issues...
Rileyrott
I would not start Chambers in his first game with a new team...I would want to see how things develop first... I agree. I'm going to sit him this week, especially with my other options at WR...............I just hope Welker keeps getting the ball!
Haywood JaDouche
I'm sitting him too. But in the back of your mind you have to think he may go off this week. Kind of like when a kid gets a new toy...I can see Rivers really looking his way until the newness wears off a little.
pseudolefty
It's going to be a tough week of preparation for the Chargers. I can tell you firsthand as someone who had to evacuate their home in San Diego that the fires in San Diego are fierce and are on alot of the players' minds. Several of them had to evacuate their homes as well. Pracitces have been moved to Arizona for the rest of the week. I'd be surprised if the Chargers played their home game against Houston at Qualcomm stadium this weekend since the stadium is being used for evacuees. I'm thinking they'll relocate the game to somewhere else, just like they did 3 years ago when they hosted the Dolphins in Arizona on Mon. Night Football. Chadman
LT is one of the players that had to evacuate. Talk about a rough year for Chambers...going from the Fish into the flame, so to speak. Sincere best wishes to you and everyone out there dealing with that horrible situation, pseudolefty.

Delicious_bass
Sincere best wishes to you and everyone out there dealing with that horrible situation, pseudolefty. Same from me. Scary stuff and football certainly comes well behind peoples safety. Hope they can get that situation under control soon and everyone is ok. Haywood JaDouche
So there's a good chance Chambers will be "on fire" Sunday? Sorry...bad joke. Edited October 23, 2007 by Haywood JaDouche
