BiggieFries
Have there been any reports out about how good/bad the players' footing will be this weekend? I'm wondering how well the grass at Wembly will hold up to 22 guys over 200LBs ripping up the turf. Wasn't exactly designed for that kind of punishment. I remember when the Cowboys played at Azteca stadium a few years ago, the turf looked like a war zone. Anyone think the footing will have an adverse affect on the running games of either squad? Mystykoekaki
Perhaps.....but who knows...football hasn't been played there before.....is there any initial reports suggestion that? ....gawd, I'm glad I don't have to rely on a RB from either squad. I love you LT.

I wouldnt mind having Jacobs in that game..With a bye week for LJ and ronnie brown going down I may start the worst backfield I have ever intentionally fielded this weekend..I have to chose 2 between Stecker, Rhodes, and Michael Turner Edited October 26, 2007 by whomper

MonkeyOne
It was a while back but didn't the London Monarchs play there? I don't know where the London Monarchs played, but Wembly has been completely rebuilt since then, new field and all. I think there was some complaint when it reopened about the turf, but hopefully that's been fixed. Can't believe they'd leave anything to chance with such a high profile event. Edit: beaten by Big John while I typed. Edited October 26, 2007 by MonkeyOne
whomper
Turner might not be so bad in garbage time... My thoughts as well but I hate having to rely on a blowout and late carries
Ziachild007
Turner might not be so bad when the mighty Texans defense shuts down LT and the bolts look to Turner to save the day... Fixed

Edit: beaten by Big John while I typed. I'm from England, and yep the new Wembley opened up a year or so ago. When it first opened i remember watching a football (soccer ) match on TV, and the pitch was getting totally cut up. From all the games i've seen the field withstands a lot more now. The FG posts were put in place yesterday, so it's really starting to look the part now!
