Shorttynaz
Why in a blowout game does Belicheat haveTom Brady in there running up the score just padding his stats?? It's times like this when the "garbage time" play gets your studs hurt. When you've got a backup QB named Matt Cassel, (horrible) - WHY NOT GET HIM IN THERE AND GET HIM SOME GAMETIME EXPERIENCE!?!? I mean Indy today was only up by 24 with 12 minutes to go in the 4th quarter and they took Manning out and let Sorgi finish the game. WHY RUN UP THE SCORE??? I'll never get it. I dont mind the Patriots, but it's things like this that make that little devil siting on your shoulder want to see an injury to a stud when the game is already won. Oh well.. (And for anyone wondering - NO, I am not playing against Brady today). Edited October 28, 2007 by Shorttynaz
Dr. Rock
It's because Belichick is Emporer Palpatine, and when you want to completely destroy a planet, you send the Death Star, not two Tie Fighters.
Shorttynaz
sounds like a colts fan Colts fan or not. If I were a 49ers fan, I still wouldn't get it! Even the commentators are saying the same thing now!

Dr. Rock
Maybe I'm alone on this, but can't we enjoy how f'ing EVIL the pats are? I for one, think it's hilarious, because regardless of how good they are, no team has ever acted like this before. I'm not a Pats fan, but I'm really enjoying this. Besides, it'll be all the sweeter when they fall.

jayp
no pat hater here, but if I was getting run up like this as a coach, I'd be sending the student body blitzing on every play and I'd willingly take 15 yards...wth, they're going to score anyway. They may burn me, but by god, brady would be tasting some grass.

sunysteelfly76
"HOW DARE THEY RUN UP THE SCORE?!?!! IT RUINS THE INTEGRITY OF THE GAME!!!" I think you're missing the point. If I were a Pats fan I would want Brady parked safely on the sideline with a 38 pt lead. No sense in taking a chance in him getting hurt when he is not needed out on the field. He can look at 5 options on the field and no one is even close.

manhattan nights
You play to WIN THE GAME. I have no problem Belichick running up the score. They are getting paid to do so. If you have a problem with it? THEN STOP THEM

Not because I was afraid of running up the score, but to avoid injuries - "Hey you, with the hot dog - ever play left tackle?"
