pseudolefty
He played but was invisible. The Chargers barely threw the ball, and when they did, it either went to Chambers or Gates. It was obvious they were trying to get Chambers involved early. Despite the lopsided score, Houston controlled the clock. They'd get some first downs but had some costly turnovers that led to 2 Chargers defense/special teams TDs. The snap over the punter's head was one of the worst I've seen in awhile and the miscue turned worse when the punter tripped over himself and failed to recover the punt or knock it ouf of the enzone. It was clear that Chambers has become the primary WR. He definitely creates more separation and runs better routes than Jackson. Not to fret though if you are a Jackson owner since he will get some looks in upcoming weeks when the scores aren't as lopsided and he'll get more single coverage. Rivers only threw 11 passes yesterday. They went deep really only twice. Chambers TD was a 14 yader, and both of Gates TDs were mid-range passes that he turned onto long TDs with YAC. On one of the deep balls, Chambers had broken out in a freebee TD deep and Rivers overthrew him by about 5 yards. Clearly Rivers was looking for Chambers, but there was not a lot of need to throw the ball. VJax will be freed up in games because of Chambers on the other side and will produce. It just wasn't needed this week.
