XBonesX
Packers placed RB DeShawn Wynn on injured reserve with injuries to his neck and shoulder, ending his season.Wynn pulled himself out of Monday's game with a stinger and also suffered damage to his shoulder joint. The Packers weren't willing to wait 3-4 weeks for him to recover. The seventh-rounder flashed pro talent since his first camp, but an endless array of injuries limits his long-term potential. The move clears the way for Ryan Grant to be the starter moving forward, with Vernand Morency seeing third down action. Grant should be owned in all leagues. I have a loaded bench, but stashing him could make sense.
irish
I have a loaded bench, but stashing him could make sense. ABSOLUTELY!!! Being able to get a starting RB at this point in the season regardless of how many you currently have, is sweet! Drop the extra kicker, defense, TE and maybe even QB (although I'd probably not do this) and add him. You just never know.
Piranha
Depends on how deep of a league your in. I wouldn't touch him, unless you have Wynn. Edited October 31, 2007 by Piranha
irish
Depends on how deep of a league your in.I wouldn't touch him, unless you have Wynn. What?!?!? Brandon Jackson cannot stay healthy and at this point because of lack of playing time can't really be trusted as a full-time RB and Morency is nothing more than a COP/3rd down RB to begin with who can't stay healthy either. Grant is basically all they have at this point that's consistent, albeit he's only done it for 1 week against a bad run defense, but still he's starting for the Packers and should definitely not remain a FA in any league. SteelerMurf
would anyone cut Rudi for Grant? Roster limits only allow us to carry 4 RBs
michaeljordan ca
Depends, are you in my league?
SteelerMurf
Depends, are you in my league? Well, what does that mean?
michaeljordan ca
Well, what does that mean? It means, if you're in my league, he's not worth a pick-up
irish
would anyone cut Rudi for Grant? Roster limits only allow us to carry 4 RBs I think it actually depends on the rest of the RBs you have on your roster and how many you can start each week. If you have 2 solid RBs and a third so-so guy outside of Rudi and only start 2, then hell yes I drop Rudi for Grant. I really don't think Rudi will do much the rest of the year and he has some very favorable matchups down the line that I think Watson will be taking advantage of. Whereas, as I stated earlier in this thread... Tough call though, cause if Rudi does come back and regains his starting job he could be money for the stretch run. However, I haven't read anything that says he's ready to return and I don't feel Watson will return to the bench completely. I think at the very least they split but more likely it's Watson's job for the rest of the way.

SMF
I have Wynn so I am picking him up off the waiver tonight!
chinatown dragons
I picked him up and thinks he has a chance to produce.... The Packers have made it to 6 and 1, without a running game.....IF Grant starts to produce, could be great.... yes, will pull back expectations slightly as Grant DID produce against the hapless Broncos Run d....but has another decent matchup against Chiefs this weekend... heck, the way Niners and Gore have struggled, Im starting Grant over Gore this week....Cant afford another 'sitting out the 4th quarter' like last week
Pkillebr
I was planning to pick him up last week but decided not to because Wynn was named starter. I would've grabbed him if Wynn was out. I did pick him up though right after the game and he is easily my new flex replacing Ahman Green who has just been a hole in my roster all year. I see Grant being a solid #3 RB or even a #2 potentially depending on the rest of your team.
Randall
From today- RB Brandon Jackson was working as Ryan Grant's backup. Vernand Morency was still filling the third-down back spot.
