I call him Joe.

The Raiders cut him and he was cut in Minny before they got Chester if that tells you anything

Originally a 2004 7rd-round draft pick of the Browns.

edit: fixed year :D

Actually he was drafted in 2004. He was very productive at CAL but is just another one of those runners that were pretty good in college but not good enough for the pros. He has bounced around to four different teams in his four playing years. He has been with CLE, MIN, OAK, HOU and now back with Oakland again. Prior to last week, he only had eight NFL carries and they all happened in his rookie year. He was the only other RB available for HOU last week because Ahman Green was held out. For him to step up and be someone is not impossible, just highly unlikely.

Usually I would agree with you, but I think you've got a situation here that's very similar to the one in Green Bay. Echemandu may be the only guy left that the Texans haven't completely lost their patience with at this point. I own Green in a league where I could really use his help, but this is starting to look more and more like one of those cases where he suits up for another game or two, gets a handful of carries, and then ends up on IR. I think Echemandu fades back into obscurity again next year, but I can see him getting his 15 minutes of FFL and NFL fame and closing out the final four or five games of the season. If that's the case, he might be a good guy to have around just like Dayne was last season.

Adimchinobe Echemandu (hamstring) went through a limited practice for the Texans Wednesday, according to the NFL's official injury report.

If Joe's healthy enough to play at Oakland, he figures to split action with Ron Dayne if Ahman Green (knee) is unable to go. In that scenario, both Echemandu and Dayne would be decent flex plays in a favorable matchup. Oct. 31 - 6:17 pm et
