Sgt. Ryan
People thought this team was starting to turn things around, after a shakey start, but to get punked by Minnesota that bad, and give up the most rushing yards to a single player in NFL history is pathetic. Im amazed Edited November 5, 2007 by Sgt. Ryan

Hugh 0ne
With all due respect, facing the powerhouse Vikings in Minnesota and getting destroyed was to be expected.

CaP'N GRuNGe
It appears the key to improving the Vikings pass D is to keep Winfield off the field.

McBoog
The only solid part about this team is the Special Teams. Totally DOMINATED AND EMBARASSED. It is the coaching. Marty was not the answer (and wanted out), and I thought anyone could coache this team to 11 wins...

Kid Cid
This is clearly a case of a Norv team playing the Norv system and getting their asses handed to them. I hope Marty is laughing his ass off right now.
Hat Trick
Oh come on, Norv is awesome. Before it disappears from my sigline for a week thought I'd get a shot in here.

Cowboyz1
My wife is a big Charger fan and she is cursing Norv every day now. This kid Peterson is the real deal but that was a rediculous effort on D. Now all we can hope for is a bad record and Norv gets the door. You can't take a 14-2 team with LT and those players on the defensive side of the ball, double your loses and them some the following year and keep your HC. Then again, this is the same front office that drafted leaf and traded Brees, so anything is possible. Norv turner is an OC at best but to do what he has done with this team is a discrace. They have had one of the tougher schedules in the league but the way they are losing is unacceptable.
MrTed46
They usually play the Colts well. So we will see this Sunday.
pseudolefty
Yes, the loss on Sun. was embarrassing. Rivers has regressed and the defense broke down and got their lunch handed to them in the 2nd half. Losing Castillo and Jammer hurt, but the rest of the guys still need to step it up. The playcalling was atrocious on both sides of the ball. How many consecutive times did Turner start an offensive series with LT up the middle? Seems like we were 2nd and 11 all day, followed by incompletions on 3rd and 4th down, and then a booming punt by Scifres. The only bright spots on the team were Scifres and Cromartie. That's pretty sad when the best performers are your punter and special teams FG kick returner. The Vikings were blitzing on every play. There seemed to be an LB in our backfield all day. Rivers was hit numerous times, and when he wasn't, he was off target. Turner has got to find a way to beat the bltiz or all teams will do that on every play. Cottrell continues to play a passive defensive scheme. It's the old"bend-but-don't-break" scheme but it turned into "bend-and-break" followed by "just plain broken". He's not creating mismatches and varying his blitz packages. Clearly, the coaching staff is not preparing these guys properly and they are not making good in-game adjustments. In the 2 years prior to this season, the Chargers always battled to the end and seemed to be in every game. In just this season alone, we've suffered through 2 lopsided losses (Patriots and Vikings). McBoog
I will contend to the day I die that Marty was not the future of this franchise. Those that know and followed the situation are aware at how Marty set up his own firing and sabotaged the coaching situation in San Diego. I thought that just bringing in a solid OC that could run this offense would be enough and I certainly overvalued Teddy Doofus. My bud Hat Trick thinks I was excited about Norv's hiring, but he was NOT my first choice (Ryan from Baltimore was). I just didn't think with the players that the Bolts have that ANYONE could actually break it and take the team to the playoffs. I was wrong. They are badly broken and clearly are lacking leadership. Norv is clearly a brilliant football mind (look at how the 49ers are without him) but NOT a leader of men. I thought that grown men could step up nad lead themselves just given a game plan. Then I realized, they are not grown men. They are young men, in their 20's for the most part, and despite what the law says, I know I was a "kid" well into my 30's. They are, at best with this coaching staff, a hot/cold, Jeckle/Hyde team that will be lucky to make the playoffs or even be a .500 team. I am disgusted and disgruntled. As a long suffering Charger fan (always will be one) I thought that the "good times" were finally here for a few years. Then.... Norv "Bad Santa" Turner shows up and brings me a bag of sh!t Happy F'n hollidays everyone!
