Timmypg
Who do you think starts this week? I think they have to go with Beck but who knows.
DemonKnight
Someone told me that they announced Lemon the starter. Unsubstantiated though.
Gdawg
Lemon is already the announced starter, I believe. Beck will probably be starting soon, though.
Timmypg
Thanks. Miami really doesn't understand how you play for the future.
Gdawg
Thanks. Miami really doesn't understand how you play for the future. I hear you. It's not like they're going anywhere, see what Beck can do! 2nd Round Draft pick, bright, talented from what I've read, and he's not really a kid at 26 years old. Let him get some experience under his belt. Edited November 6, 2007 by Gdawg

untateve
Lemon has definitely been named starter for this week.
muck
Other than being a shiney new draft pick, is there anything Lemon has done to lose the starting gig to Beck? Edited November 7, 2007 by muck
'canes2004
Other than being a shiney new draft pick, is there anything Lemon has done to lose the starting gig to Beck? Lemon is an UFA at the end of the year and the Dolphins have pretty much said they are not gonna re-sign him. If Miami goes into rebuild mode, the need to see if the 2nd rounder Beck is the QB of the future or do they need to look into the '08 draft for another QB. Speculation is that Cam is more worried about winning a few games than he is on trying to sort things out for the future, read: he is trying to save his arse. Lemon won't be back so playing him is just showing off his talents for whoever might sign him next year which helps the Dolphins nada. Makes no sense at all. muck
I'm surprised that they've already committed to not resigning him...

Lemon has been named the starter but he is splitting 1st team reps with Beck this week. Lemon will be on a short leash this weekend and I wouldn't be surprised to see Beck start the 2nd half vs the Bills. In one of my leagues we start TWO QBs, and I have to start Beck as one of them this week. If he could put up ANYTHING in the 2nd half (provided he enters the game) I'd be estatic. Seahawks21
You don't want to rush him. You want to give him just a taste, not enough to throw up all over himself. There is absolutely no reason to throw the kid to the wolves, with no WR's or RB. I'd bet he plays 4-5 games, but too much can go wrong with 8.
