MrTed46
I was watching the replay of this game (recorded with DVR) with my buddies and we had the volume up high. Well on Welkers last catch that ultimately resulted in the last first down before the kneel downs began he looked at the Indy Corner and yelled " You #@$% Suck! " Most people will find this classless but I found it funny and shocked he would do that. Anyone else hear it or notice it? I believe he also threw the ball in his direction but towards the ground so a penalty wasnt called. He did shout loud enough that you can hear it from the Ref mic (put volume loud). MrTed46
They all say schit like this every play. I'm sure. It was well deserved because that ended the game and the corner was no where near him.
fballfreak
There's always trash taking in the trenches between teams it's part of the game.
fballfreak
lol @ the delay of game call on that spike that Harrison did. I think the ball hit the ceiling of the dome.
msaint
Welker's always seemd like one of those "keeps quiet and does his job" kinda guys, like Marvin. Surprised to hear he was talking sh*t but maybe he and the corner had been going at it/jawing pretty good all day? While we're on it, not sure this has been brought up yet but MAN what a difference Welker made with his return yards on Sunday ....the critical difference in the game's outcome, IMO. He averaged 20 yards per return and that last long one was a killer for Indy. Edited November 6, 2007 by msaint
myhousekey
Definitely heard/saw it when the play happened but I couldn't make out what his exact words; He definitely dropped an F Bomb on the corner.
boltnlava
Yeah ok...everyone thinks this is no big deal but when added with the coaching staff loving to run up the score....IMO it seems like they are ripe for some payback...Now can ANY team do it ??? bushwacked
The NFL is reporting that Welker didn't say anything and it was just audio/visual feedback from CBS.

PatsFanCT
This is a non-story, unless we have a transcript of everything that was said between Welker and the corner in question. Let's not blow this out of proportion.

Substitute T. Brady for Big Ben last night. If Brady gets hurt throwing a bomb, already up 35 - 7 against an inept offense midway through the 3rd quarter, it would be "good, he deserves it, they were running up the score". If Brady then went back in the 4th still up 38-7 after being injured, it would be "Belichik is a moran, I wish Brady got injured when he went back in, that's what they get for running up the score". Because it's not the Pats, no big deal. Edited November 7, 2007 by charty
pig devilz
lol @ the delay of game call on that spike that Harrison did. Shorttynaz
It was actually classless, but I expect nothing less from the Patriots. Payback is a mo fo. And although it may not be this season, possibly next season when someone runs up the score on the Pats, Belicheat and the rest of the Gaytriots will be cryin that running up the score is not necessary.. Doesn't matter anyway.. Everyone knows that NE is the team to beat. They're just making the target bigger and bigger by talkin trash and goin for a TD on 4-2 when they're already up by 6 TD's late in the game. Oh, and may I add, NICE gesture by Belicheat to hardly even stop and shake the hand of one of the most highly respected coaches in the game today - after the win on Sunday. Anyone else see that. He shook his hand, but never stopped walking. Just kept RIGHT ON going. Note to Bill - Just cause you're dubbed classless DOESNT mean that you're required to live up to it! Oh well.. Just goes again to show who the REAL class of the NFL is - which is the defending champs. Edited November 7, 2007 by Shorttynaz

I'll tell you right now. I don't care where they play. If the Colts & Pats meet again and both teams are 100% healthy. COLTS WILL WIN! I truly believe if Marvin & Gonzalez play in that game, Colts win no problem.
CaptainHook
just Marvin. No way he drops that TD that Gonzo did.

Turf Boy
just Marvin. No way he drops that TD that Gonzo did. Absolutely Hook. We know they were missing key players. I was very confident until I heard Marvin wasn't playing. The play that would've put that game away is the quick slant. That play to Marvin is unstoppable. Once Gonzalez was injured, they really had no body to run quick slant routes the rest of the game. Not Reggie, Dallas, or Morehead's specialty.
