i_am_the_swammi
Neither Kolby or Priest are worth anything. LJ couldn't do anything in that offence, why would you think either a 34 year old or a rookie would do anything worth considering? Especially when you consider that they'll be splitting carries. The debate of which is more valuable is silly. They're both useless, even against Denver. This is one post worth stashing away for some post-Sunday ridicule. #40
from rotoworld Larry Johnson-RB- Chiefs Nov. 11 - 9:42 am et FoxSports.com's John Czarnecki reports that Larry Johnson has a cracked bone in his foot, but the Chiefs are hopeful he'll play again this year. Word is leaking out of Kansas City from multiple sources that Johnson indeed has a broken bone in his foot, but the Chiefs are hoping he can return this year because he can already stand on it. Still, LJ is out next week and the most likely scenario is that he'll miss many games after that. We'd still hang on to him in nearly all leagues. Source: FoxSports.com here is what Czarnecki wrote on foxsports... Denver at Kansas City: RB Priest Holmes starts for the injured Larry Johnson, who has a cracked bone in his foot. Johnson will miss next week and, depending on how he heals, could be sidelined for an extended period. The good thing is that he has been able to put his full weight on the foot, but standing and playing football are two totally different things. Although there are reports that Holmes will share the position with rookie Kolby Smith, the percentages will probably be more like 75-25 for Holmes. Without a doubt, Chiefs coach Herm Edwards is getting itchy and could pull Damon Huard at any time. Broncos QB Jay Cutler will start, but he will be limited rolling out because of a calf injury. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/7433688 Edited November 11, 2007 by #
WaterMan
This could be funny for my team if Holmes is able to do anything decent, when I have LT.
Double Agent
More conflicting and confusing info: Nov 11 Johnson is telling teammates that he has a cracked bone in his foot, FOXSports' Jay Glazer reports. Recommendation: The team reportedly believes that Johnson had a metatarsal in his foot pop out, but they were able to pop it back in. In this scenario, Johnson wouldn't miss much time, but Johnson apparently believes he will be out for quite a while. We'll continue to dig for information, but the bottom line is that Johnson is out indefinitely and Priest Holmes will see the bulk of the rushing workload. Hat Trick
LJ is a me guy, he will take it easy for awhile, you can bank on that, he will not risk his career with this injury, period. As I said P Holmes is the RB to have to handcuff to LJ, he looked fresh, made some really good cuts, had the speed to get around the corner. The downside is he is still running behind the same crappy O-line that LJ was.
