Rams starting to bring a lot of pressure on Defense and getting to Brees

LT Jammal Brown was down after the last sack on Brees. He was helped to the sidelines by the trainers and is limping pretty good.

Edit: On first series after getting banged up, Brown is not back in the game. Looks like Zach Strief is in at LT.

Announcers just "Lower Leg Injjury. He is doubtful to return."

Not good....

Antonio Pittman getting some carries in place of S Jackson right now....didn't notice Jackson hurt so could be just giving him a breather...

Edit; Jackson back in on this series and running strong... Just threw a td to McMichael....

Rams absolutely dominating Time of Possession...

Today's update from NOLA.com

Brown optimistic about knee injury

Saints offensive tackle Jammal Brown appears to have avoided major injury after his lower left leg was bent backward during Sunday's loss to the St. Louis Rams at the Superdome.

Brown said Monday that he injured his tibia, but it was not broken. Saints Coach Sean Payton described the injury as a muscle strain. Both were optimistic that he could return to practice this week to prepare for Sunday's game at Houston.

"I think he'll be ready to go," Payton said.

Brown was blocking defensive end James Hall during the first quarter when Drew Brees was sacked and shoved into Brown from behind, landing on his left leg. As Hall surged forward, Brown's lower leg bent backward.

Brown, who has a history of knee injuries, said he thinks the knee brace he wears helped cushion the impact.

"It's always scary. But I had the knee brace on. That always gives me more comfort," said Brown, who was in considerable pain after the injury occurred and did not return to the game.
