STL Fan
Reggie Bush: my choice for captain of the NFL’s All Overrated Team. He doesn’t run well between the tackles and doesn’t pass protect. He’ll make a dazzling play here and there, and ESPN will show it 500 times in 24 hours, but what the world wide leaders of hype don’t show you are the many holes in Bush’s game. Anyone who likens Bush to Marshall Faulk can’t be feeling well. Bush can’t carry Faulk’s crappy shoes from spammers swoosh, at least not yet. Maybe some day. Bernie Miklasz, St. Louis Post-Dispatch This guy is not a big trash-talker kind of guy, he just tells it like he sees it. I tend to agree with him on this one. Edit to add this he wrote about Payton: Sean Payton, the Saints’ vastly overhyped head coach, got aced by Linehan and Haslett. They completely outcoached Payton. Just embarrassed him. As I type this it’s 34-7 Rams and Payton is absolutely clueless on the sideline. His decision to go for it on 4th and 1 in the third quarter made little sense, as did the decision to hand the ball to Bush for an inside run. It took Payton and his staff three quarters to figure out what Haslett was doing on defense. And the Saints’ defensive coaches were apparently asleep for three hours. Payton has a 4-5 record with one of the most talented teams in the league. He’s won three more games than Linehan this season. That ain’t saying much. bushwacked
Bernie Miklaz, St. Louis Post-Dispatch This guy is not a big trash-talker kind of guy, he just tells it like he sees it. I tend to agree with him on this one. Bush had a horrible day yard wise but put up a TD and 2 two point conversions. Did Bernie make a note on how Bush contributed more to his team in this one game than Steven Jackson has done all year long?

DMD
Big talk from a writer following a 1-8 team. Be nice, the writer has probably been waiting for two months to say something like that.
STL Fan
Miklasz has been terribly critical of the Rams, he's no homer. He goes on to talk about how much more effective Aaron Stecker was in his limited carries today than Bush, but they refused to use him more. Never heard of the dude, but sounds like a typical newbie hack writer. If the guy has any consistency he should write an article on how Antonio Pittman is more effective than Steven Jackson. If the guy has any consistency he should write an article on how Antonio Pittman is more effective than Steven Jackson. He's one of the two main sports columnists (along with Brian Burwell) on the only daily newspaper in a city of nearly 3 million people. And BTW, he did talk about how great it was to see Pittman hang a great run on the team that gave up on him while he was spelling Jackson. Now, you're not going to try and say that Pittmann is a better back than SJax are you?

Bronco Billy
The guy has an overwhelming grasp of the obvious. Saying Bush qualifies as a great RB because he can manage a few eye popping moves in space is equivalent to saying Vick was a great QB because he could manage a few eye popping moves in space. There's a lot more to playing the position effectively than creating ESPN moments.

kingfish247
While I agree in general with what that quoted writer guy had to say, I think he discredits himself right here... Payton has a 4-5 record with one of the most talented teams in the league. Talentwise, this team is average to below average in more areas than one... below average pass D, average run D, average group of WRs, (without Deuce) average group of RBs, below average kicker/special teams. What sets them apart from the 24-27 other teams in the league is they're above average at starting QB.
Hat Trick
IS that jealousy of a Rams championship versus the Cheifs champio....oh wait, that's right. Well considering I am a Cards fan as well and 1/2 my family being from STL I am pretty sure I know WT_F I am talking about. I've seen nearly as many Cards games as I have Royals games. My grandparents had suite season tickets for years. STL has always been a hockey and Baseball town, and only came out to support the Rams when Vermeil put together the greatest show on turf. I'm not jealous of Shiatt, but I do know how obnoxious the STL fans were towards KC fans during their run and I'll never let them live it down, they're a joke KC will always be second fiddle to STL in the state and there's a reason for it. I know both cities very well so you better bring it if you wanna argue with me on this subject, don't pop off at the mouth if you can't show me otherwise that my statement isn't false

Just givin' some guff. I have to agree that KC is more of a football town than STL and STL has baseball and hockey. KC seriously does have St. Louis in football. From Arrowhead versus The St. Louis Convention Center to the history of the franchise in their respective cities to the ownership and front offices. I am a Rams fan but do look at the Chiefs as the overall classier franchise. St. Louis had the opportunity to make a very long and competitive run to gain the respect of fans outside of the city but dropped the ball from drafts, personel moves, and REALLY bad coaching. But, if the Chiefs ever go on an offensive juggernaut run like the Rams did, I am quite sure Chiefs fans will throw just a tiny bit of grief and obnoxiousness towards us. I see that your a bit touchy on this subject area. No need to curse.

STL Fan
Actually, yes I have........give me the reasons KC should overwhelmingly support them again? Seriously, show your ignorance cause it'll be funny Wow, touched a nerve, huh? All I'm saying is that the Rams have been in STL for what 12 years? It takes time to develop the kind of loyalty the Cardinals have enjoyed for literally generations. And the Rams have sold out every single game until the last couple, we didn't jump on the bandwagon when Vermeil came to town. Clearly the Chiefs are one of the best organizations in football, no question, and Chiefs fans are incredible. But the Royals have been there for a long time and when was the last time they filled that place? The point is that for you to call St. Louis fans bandwagoners is ridiculous, even if you are an expert on intra-state sports. Just the same way I wouldn't call the Roayls fans bandwagoners for not supporting a team that hasn't given them any hope in a long time. And what did St. Louis fans do to the Chiefs during their "run" (whatever that was?) As a St. Louisan, I can tell you that many of us started following the Chiefs when the football Cardinals left town, so why all the venom?
