Easy n Dirty
Never seen a guy fall from grace so fast as Jordan has in Oakland - I know he was dinged up quite a bit, but he must have done something on top of that to land himself squarely in Kiffin's doghouse. This past weekend, when he was healthy (I think), he got zero carries...or one less than either Dominic Rhodes por Tim Dwight. Was he even active? Anyone know what transpired to have this guy, who started the season so well, suddenly be mired so far down on the depth chart? And, more importantly, if Fargas were to get injured (hey, it's been known to happen), who would become the primary ball carrier in Oakland? Sturphy
No kidding eh? I'm going to pick up Bush this week on a couple teams and see what transpires in a couple weeks. Surely they'll give him a shot if he can come off the PUP.
Hitman
He's been pretty much ineffective since he injured his back in the Week 4 game against MIA. (He was well on his way to having a great game there as well before the injury). I think it's just more of a matter of him not being healthy....and then Fargas showing some flashes of promise when given the rock alot that lead to Jordan basically sitting down. He's just not any where near 100%, and who knows if/when he will be. But make no mistake...when healthy he's the best RB they have. Return Of S&B
Clayton seem's to have the most likely reasoning here... from KFFL: "ESPN's John Clayton believes the Raiders' decision to bench LaMont Jordan is an indication Jordan will probably be cut or traded by next March. Jordan began the season on a tear, which he needed to in order to have a chance of being brought back in 2008, when his salary skyrockets from $1 million to $4.7 million. But with his play falling off dramatically, Oakland may be more inclined to go with Dominic Rhodes and Michael Bush next year. The team also must make a decision on pending free agent Justin Fargas."
