Personal Trainer Reportedly Tells Federal Authorities He Supplied Performance-Enhancing Drugs to Cowboys Players

A Plano, Tex., personal trainer reportedly has told federal investigators that he supplied performance-enhancing drugs to Dallas Cowboys players.

The trainer, David Jacobs, pleaded guilty in federal court Tuesday to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute steroids. Under a plea deal, Jacobs reportedly agreed to cooperate with investigators and tell them about professional athletes using performance-enhancing substances. The Dallas Morning News reported that Jacobs supplied investigators with the names of current and former Cowboys players to whom he said he supplied performance-enhancing drugs.

A Cowboys spokesman told the newspaper that the team knew nothing about Jacobs.

None of the players to which Jacobs allegedly provided performance-enhancing drugs was identified publicly.

Jacobs reportedly admitted distributing 40,000 units of steroids between February 2006 and April 2007, along with several thousand units of human growth hormone. He owns a supplements store in Plano and said on the store's Web site that he is a certified personal trainer who worked with players with the Cowboys and Atlanta Falcons.

The NFL suspended New England Patriots safety Rodney Harrison for four games and Cowboys quarterbacks coach Wade Wilson for five games at the outset of the season after being told by federal investigators that they'd obtained human growth hormone.

"We look forward to learning the facts underlying [Tuesday's] developments in this case and to assisting the federal investigation in any way possible," NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said in a written statement released to media outlets. "Consistent with our policies, we will deal with any NFL-related involvement promptly and aggressively."

This does not surprise me in the least bit. The cowboys are evil.

The three pillars of civilization are: Hatred of the Cowboys, Hatred of the Yankees and Christianity.

I hope they all get arrested and raped in prison.

Whatever you say cliaz

This sounds like somebody trying to work out a plea deal to save their arss to me. You aren't going to bust any Cowboys for steroids with the stringent drug testing policy of the NFL. HGH is another matter since it's currently undetectable in the NFL drug screening. All in all, if any Cowboy gets busted, it will be for HGH. BIG IF in my book.
