Thews40
So we're coming into the home stretch and some of our teams are monsters. I’ve played this game for a long time, and the year I made over $1200 was in a $200 “money” league. I built a monster, and in a high points league the team won both high points and the Super Bowl. By the way, fo those that have never been in a high points league, it’s so much more fun. Anyway, I have a monster team this year in my $100 league, and it’s rare when that happens. Not just a monster, but a monster in a money league. Does anyone have one if WCOFF? …that would be cool. I plan on playing next year and can’t wait. I’d be curious about other monster teams and who they have. A NE homer could have easily wound up with Brady/Moss/Welker, or some other monster combo. In a 12 team mandatory TE PPR, it’s hard to build a monster and you most certainly need luck. My team is averaging 131 points a game and has a 98 point lead in total points. Life is good… this doesn’t happen often. By the way, I made some good and bad trades. Should have kept Hines Ward (traded for DW). If you built a monster, I'd like to see it. So… rate my team: QB – Romo, Derek Anderson RB – Addai/Keith, Brandon Jacobs, Edgerrin James, DW WR – AJ, Engram, Chambers, Brandon Marshall, Welker TE – Gates, Olson K – Folk D - Packers PS - 10 Team leagues are far easier to build monsters... especially without a mandatory TE. Swiss Cheezhead
Well, since you're not getting a ton of replies, I'll step outside your box and post my team in my 14-team league (PPR): QB Brett Favre, GB QB RB Edgerrin James, Ari RB RB/WR Steven Jackson, StL RB RB/WR Earnest Graham, TB RB WR Terrell Owens, Dal WR WR/TE T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Cin WR TE Antonio Gates, SD TE Active WR/TE D/ST Giants D/ST, NYG D/ST K Nick Folk, Dal K (My only significant bench players are Rudi Johnson and Michael Pittman.) I have to say that this is probably the most impressive overall FF effort I've accomplished. My first four picks were SJax, T.O., Cadillac, and LaMont Jordan -- that was looking pretty good for a couple of weeks. Then, complete disaster struck. I made lots of waiver/FA acquisitions (25), and then I started trading. I primarily subscribe to the the buy-low/sell-high trading concept, and it allowed me to add some productive players to my suddenly sad-sack team. I clawed my way to 6-4, and traded almost ALL my depth before this week's deadline. I upgrading my starters in the process, focusing on players with the best fantasy playoff matchups. There are a couple of other good teams in the league -- 'canes 2007 being one of them (with LT) -- so I'm not a "lock" to win the thing by any means. But I'll be feeling good about that lineup for the rest of the season.

I am in a 12 team league. We have 3 teams tied at 8-2 of which I am one. One of the 8-2s just traded for Tom Brady. His team is Brady R. Moss/C. Johnson/ he had Wayne but traded him for Brady A. Pederson/R Bush Whitten When healthy this could be one of the best teams I have seen in a while. I feel bad for him that A.P. got hurt. When I beat him in the playoffs I want his whole team against my whole team.

chawk
This is kind of funny (not to me). My team puts up good points, but I have the worst schedule possible in my 12 team. My record is 2-8, here is my team: QB-Romo, Kitna RB-Westbrook, Gore, Foster, Grant, Chatman, C Taylor, Selvin Young, L Washington, M Robinson WR-Fitzgerald, Wayne, Hackett, Henry, Chambers TE-Cooley K-Graham DEF-Chicago, Detroit Thankfully, I've taken advantage of the waiver wire priority and might have enough to make a playoff push. SpinalTapp
Wow. What is your record? 9-1 on the season. My breakdown against the league is 100-10. My team is averaging 135 pts per week. Next closest team averaging 107pts per week. However, losing AP combined with Plax's crap play as of late are pulling my team back to the pack. It was fun while it lasted. How were you even able to draft it? Guessing Plax slipped because of his injury status preseason. K. Jones obviously slipped. AP could have slipped being an unknown. How much of this happened through trades? Trying to piece the draft together - assuming you had 1st overall pick with LT. That means picks 2 and 3 were T.O. and Gates, meaning Brady slipped to the end of the 4th and Plax was there beginning of 5th? So AP end of 6th and Fitz beginning of 7th? This isn't adding up. Keeper league? Or just a moron league?

And not sure why this team has you so confident... Do you start two QBs or something? We start 3 WRs and with PPR I'm raking in the points. I'm averaging 128 pts a game while the league average is 72. Of the 3 losses, one was only a true loss. The other 2 were bad roster management on my part. Edit: I drafted 8th in this league too and I tried to move Anderson for a more solid back but no one would bite. #1 in total points too. My team in a 16 team te/wr flex is better, IMO. QB - Anderson (Kitna) RB - LT, KJ (DeAngelo Williams) WR - Santonio, Mason, Lee Evans, Cooley (Northcutt) K - Bironas (Crosby) Def - Lions (Houston) #2 in points, playing #1 this week. Hes ahead of me in total points by about 2.5 TD's but he just lost Lynch for a few games so I shuld grab #1 this week. <knocks on wood>

Keeper league? Or just a moron league? This will explain it. We play in a modified keeper league where you must keep four players. We can keep any players drafted in the fourth round or later. Last year my team was not going anywhere so I sold my good players early for fourth round picks. In the off season, I also made trades that improved the position of my fourth round picks. In the end, I entered the draft this year with four, fourth round picks, including 4.1, 4.2, and 4.3. Ironically, my only good keeper entering this year was Plax - I had Benson, VDavis, and Mark Clayton also. Here was my draft 1.1 LT 2.12 TO 3.1 AP 4.1 Brady (he slipped hard because lots of teams had kept QBs) 4.2 Gates (how he was here, I don't know - he was first TE taken) 4.3 Calvin Johnson 4.12 M.Turner (felt he would be a great keeper and needed handcuff to LT) 5.1 Pats D 6.12 K.Jones (let's pray his foot holds up) 7.1 C.Brown 8.12 James Jones 9.1 J.Wilkins I just made good draft choices at pick 1 through 4.2 - though a moron would have made the same picks. Luckily, I was able to turn Johnson & VDavis, both keepers, into Fitz, a non keeper for my stretch run. I also recently traded Benson for H.Ward (ward is a keeper). Another solid move - though with AP's injury and KJ's foot, I am a bit worried about my RB spot. I have a history of having dominant teams that tank in the playoffs in this league. Twice, I have had killer teams that have laid eggs in either the finals or semis. Let's hope history does not repeat.

Donutrun Jellies
12-team redraft, experienced owners, league in place 6 years, non-ppr, mandatory TE. limited IDP ... The 8-2 2007/2008 Jellies: (1) Roethlisberger, Schaub (2) Westbrook, S Jackson, MJD, KJones, RGrant (4) CJohnson, JGalloway, DDriver, LEvans, BMarshall (1) AGates (1) JReed (1) Indianapolis (2) DRyans, JAllen, Kaufmann Chad Johson's struggles to find the endzone and Antonio Gates return to human performance levels have kept me humble, but Big Ben and Westy have powered the team and I've had solid luck plugging the right second RB in the lineup. I acquired CJ in a trade when Brandon Jacobs got hurt and I had Ward and his team was desperate for RB -- and I picked up SJax when the owner who drafted him #2 reached the depth of the pit of despair ... I've been playing waiver wire matchups on defense during the year -- and have swapped Stover for Reed as of late ... Currently in 2nd place, but tops in points, playing the leader this week -- GO JELLIES!!!
pig devilz
12 team H2H, Points, non keeper..... 8-2, points leader... bad luck/bad RB choice last two weeks (bye week), should/could be 10-0, lost by a couple points each week with winning points on the bench....tied for 1st.
