OU vs Ohio St.

I know Ohio St just lost, but here are the teams in front of them

1. LSU - will lose another game. Just call it the Les Miles 2 loss factor.

2. Oregon - Just lost

3. Kansas - will lose to Missouri

4. Oklahoma - Win out, go to NC game.

5. Missouri - loses to OU

6. WVA - BCS avg - 7863 - probably loses to UConn or Cincy, and OSU will probably pass them if they struggle in any game.

7. Ohio St. - BCS avg - 7863 - right on the heals of WVA.

IMO we are headed towards an All SEC National Championship between LSU and Georgia.

I can't see that happening, since that's a lot of top teams that need to lose and Georgia HAS to beat LSU in the SEC title game to have any shot at the NC. A late loss for LSU would likely knock them out.

Hey Bud in case you didn't know Tennessee is playing LSU in the SEC championship should the Vols win out. Georgia is currently ranked 9th in the BCS standings so IF things fall into place it should be an All SEC National Championship.

Ok Sarg, since we are playing what ifs, OU wins out, Kansas blows up UM 50+ to very little. So its OU vs KU in the Championship, and we win say 31-30, by 1, Kansas has a real good argument to be in the NC picture, you agree?

Man, I would think it wouldnt matter what the scores are. If KU wins out they should be in.

Before last night I thought this was a longshot. Now I think it's almost a 50/50 possibility, if OSU beats Michigan. Two of the Big 12 teams will definitely lose. So it's an issue of Ohio State needing to pass LSU and WVa.

Unlike Sarge, I don't know (or care) which Big 12 team wins. I do know that if OSU beats Michigan, there will be 1 Big 12 team ranked ahead of us and 2 behind us.

This would be 100 times worse, then seeing an OSU vs Michigan game last season, also 10 times more unlikely as well.

The difference is that LSU vs. Georgia would not be a rematch. Look I know alot of you say things you don't seriously mean, however there are plenty of people on this forum who have stated that LSU would lose to Georgia if they met in the SEC finals or that LSU is fortunate not to have had to play Georgia this season. So that by itself tells me most people would like to see Georgia vs. LSU should all the other teams falter.

TOS imagine two Big 10 teams never facing each other all season yet both are ranked #1 and #2 in the BCS rankings. Wouldn't you like to see that game. I know I would. :D

No I wouldn't want to see it at all. The purpose of the bowl games for decades is to pit conferences vs conferences. That needs to hold true in the BCS system as well, which I'm glad happened last season or we'd have been fooled into thinking OSU and Michigan were the 2 best teams, when obviously they were not.

Actually, OSU's BCS avg is .7744. Also, I find it unlikely that OSU will jump WVU given they both win out. OSU will have beaten a sub-par Michigan team that's barely in the top 25 and WVU will have beaten two similar teams to Michigan, at least as far as BCS rankings go. I don't see where the jump comes in. As the OU prediction goes, I'd say pretty solid. I'm much more comfortable with what I said in my other post however, that the Big 12 would be represented in the NC game.

Correct, I posted WVA's BCS avg twice, instead of .774 as you did above. WVA will have to lose, since they play 2 top 25 teams from here on out. But doesnt anyone think this yr that isnt possible.

Imagine this crazy scenerio.

OSU loses to Michigan

LSU loses to Arkansas or Tenn

SC beats ASU

WVA loses ro cincy or Uconn

Kansas beats Missouri

OU loses to Texas Tech

OU drums Kansas by 40

There will be two - 2 loss teams playing for the NC, unless somehow Kansas doesnt drop below 2nd, AFTER losing the Big 12 Champ game by 40, as their only loss.

No doubt. Anything is possible this year. I personally love it. It makes so many more college football games worth watching. It seems as though there have been 2 or 3 meaningful games(in terms of BCS) every week.
