Savage Beatings
I am considering starting Ryan Grant this week, and i'm trying to figure out what this player report from MFL means: Pete Dougherty, of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, reports Green Bay Packers RB Ryan Grant (concussion) was not on the team's participation report Friday, Nov. 16. Does that mean that he did not participate in practice, or does that mean that he is not on an injury report? I could interpret this either way, and the outcomes are pretty much the opposite of each other.

He isn't on the injury report this week. http://packers.com/team/injury_list/

I believe it means he did practice and was removed from, or not listed on, the team participation report (since he was not limited in any way in practice). BillyBalata
I'd say look at it this way. If they were to list every player that DID participate in practice, the list would be some 40 players long. Since the lists aren't generally that long, (except for the Pats) a participation list must consist of players that did not participate in practice in some way. So not being on the participation list, clearly means a player participated. Edited November 18, 2007 by BillyBalata

MikesVikes
The Pack plays right away again on Thursday so he might not get a heavy dose of carries if he plays or not.
