SLAYER
Let's just go over the assumption that Michigan offers the job to Miles and he buys out and goes. Who is in lihe for the LSU job? in-house, small name, big name Really have not given this much thought until now. I know some LSU faithful will be pushing for Spurrier, just don't think he will leave SC. But enough money and a chance for another NC could change a person's mind. In house some think DC Bo will get the job. what are your opinions. PS. Rocker need not reply.

Keep in mind that we will lose 14 senior starters this year. How much will that affect a top coaches decision making process. Who will be willing to take on Miles recruits? Will his recruits wind up being as good as the guys Saban left for Miles? We are in a WIN NOW year to say the very least. Does a guy like Nutt get a look? Interesting but don't think his return will be to the college game for which he is not suited.
Rockerbraves
PS. Rocker need not reply. Not so fast my friend, it's no where near a slam dunk Les Miles will even be offered the Michigan job. Yeah Les may be #1 on the short list of Wolverine fans based off his team's performance this year, but more knowledgable Michigan people understand this LSU team is so loaded talent wise that even Les Miles couldn't screw it up. Couple that to the fact that should LSU win the NC LSU has contractually agreed to make Coach Miles one of the highest paid college coaches in the nation. Now add in Les Miles buyout which is reported to be more than a million dollars would mean Michigan would have to come up with some serious cash to YES take a chance on Miles. IMO Michigan will at least explore a few more qualified candidates like Cincinnati Bearcats coach and maybe Iowa's coach before making an offer to Coach Miles. IMO Michigan will at least explore a few more qualified candidates like Cincinnati Bearcats coach and maybe Iowa's coach before making an offer to Coach Miles. Not to mention, that as I see it Michigan needs to move pretty fast due to recruiting issues. You going to leave a bunch of recruits waiting to see who's going to be the coach till Jan.9th. I think Michigan either has something worked out already with their next coach or have good info on Miles. I also agree that this is more risky than Michigan likes at this point. Pelini is most likely the man at least for the short term and maybe a search from there. I think Pelini is the best choice. Michigan's press conference on Monday will answer at least some of the answers and also leads me to believe that they know the direction they want to go. Michigan is moving faster than I expected already and I have to believe a school like Michigan does not move that fast without some knowledge of the direction they are going. Michigan is most likely down to maybe 3 guys. Miles, Harbaugh and a mystery guy????? Who could that be???? WVU coach??? If your a coach out there just think of some of the options out there in the short term. Michigan, LSU and dare I say Penn State. Joe Pa as much as I respect him and think he's a classy guy his time should be over anyone that says he's not hurting their recruiting is just living in a different world and when they lose Pryor to OSU,WVU or Flordia it's going to hurt Joe. What does Penn State want him to collapse on the field???? Please give him some cushy job at the university and treat him like a king. Please name the stadium after him anything, but talk to him about making a decision to leave on his terms.
theprofessor
Rumor has it that Les Miles wife was seen, this week, in the Ann Arbor area looking at homesites. Do you think that Spurrier would walk away from the "Cocks" to coach LSU? Interesting fit.
GWPFFL BrianW
For some reason I can't see Spurrier in Louisiana. Not much golf down there.
Sgt. Ryan
Pelini was the worst DC OU had a few yrs back. And this vaunted D that was suppose to be so impressive, is a shell of its talent. Not sure Pelini is worthy. Id bet its someone like WVA Rich Rodriquez, or some virtual unknown that takes a much lesser team to a lofty ranking. Edited November 18, 2007 by Sgt. Bushey
Chris Peterson from Boise State is a friggen offensive genius. He is rumored to be the eventual replacement at UCLA. Hottest coaching prospect in the nation. What he did against OU in the Fiesta last year was epic.

He is a solid coach but I loathe listening to him!
