Arianimal
Tom Brady is meticulously precise. His timing is perfect, his throws are spot-on, and any pass that is more than 6 inches off is a surprise to each and every person watching the play. Moss is a physical freak - bigger, stronger, faster, and more athletic than just about every other player playing within 10 yards of him. Both players have impeccable football smarts to boot. Granted, at 25 years old, I haven't seen a lot of football in my life, but these guys are unbelievable. I can't even imagine two such elite players ever being on the exact same wavelength at such critical positions.

Being that the Brady/Moss is more fresh in my mind, I could see the argument that they are the best though.
budlitebrad
Too bad Moss is a female cleansing product. And I didn't know Cris Collinsworth had a Huddle screen name. Edited November 19, 2007 by budlitebrad
Arianimal
Too bad Moss is a female cleansing product. And I didn't know Cris Collinsworth had a Huddle screen name. Yeah. Too bad it doesn't remotely hinder the Pats' chance at an undefeated season and yet another world championship, or the fact that the Bengals lose to the Cardinals and the Browns haven't been relevant for at least a decade. He could wear a pink scarf around his neck and still obliterate any secondary.

Arianimal
Impeccable Smarts. Randy Moss. I said FOOTBALL smarts. Ya know, the same kind that wonderlic failing Vince Young used to destroy everyone en route to an undefeated national championship season, Heisman hose-job, and NFL Rookie of the Year award. And not completely unlike the football smarts used by those Red Raiders yesterday. Tough break, guy. Grits and Shins
Tom and Randy may be putting together the best year any QB-WR tandem has ... but I wouldn't yet annoit them the best of all time.
Hugh 0ne
you are such a jealous joke And if you're calling Randy Moss smart, you're a blind homer. You can call him a lot of things: the best WR in the game, a gifted athlete, extremely talented, etc, but anything to do with brains or intelligence and you're grasping at straws. Trust me, I'm a Vikes fan, I saw it for years.
fballfreak
Tom and Randy may be putting together the best year any QB-WR tandem has ... but I wouldn't yet annoit them the best of all time. . Montana/Rice was consistent year after year.
Patriots
I always remember Montana hitting Rice on a slant and Rice just running forever. Moss gets a lot of goalline type touchdowns. IMO Rice/Montana were better. Plus they did it a lot longer than Moss/Brady. This is their first year together. You can tell that they were forcing the ball to Moss last night. They tried to hit him in the endzone with 3 guys on him. Their had to be someone else open and Brady rarley misses a read.

budlitebrad
Mr. "straight cash homie" AKA I'm an amzing WR except I quit on plays when I know I'm not getting the ball and quit on the team when we have a terrible season?

Funny how much of an instant gratification society we have become. Seriously, its not even one year and people are saying this. Moss-Brady have what 6-7 more years of this to reach Manning-Harrison. Before AD got hurt, people were saying he is the best rookie RB of all time.
Hugh 0ne
Yep, he's intelligent all right: In 1997, Randy Moss was quoted, in a Sports Illustrated article as saying the 1970 Marshall plane crash "was a tragedy, but it really wasn't nothing big." On November 14, 2006, Moss was honored for his success in college as a kick returner by having an award named after him, becoming only one of two black athletes (along with John Mackey) so honored. During the press conference, Moss responded to questions about his dropped passes and lackluster effort in several games, saying "Maybe because I'm unhappy and I'm not too much excited about what's going on, so, my concentration and focus level tend to go down sometimes when I'm in a bad mood." Moss made similar comments during his tenure with the Vikings, when he infamously proclaimed, "I play when I want to play." On September 24, 2002 in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, Moss was driving and was preparing to make an illegal turn. A traffic control officer, noticing what he was about to do, stood in front of his car, ordering him to stop. Eyewitness accounts of the event differ at this point, but Moss didn't comply with the officer's order, and she was bumped by his vehicle and fell to the ground. Moss was arrested, and a search of his vehicle revealed a small amount of Josh Gordon. Initially charged with Suspicion of Assault with a Deadly Weapon which is a felony and a misdemeanor Josh Gordon possession, Moss pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor traffic violation, and was ordered to pay a $1,200 fine and perform 40 hours of community service. Oh, it's got nothing to do with Denver or sea level, whatever that is. I have used, you know, Josh Gordon ... since I've been in the league,” Sounds like the most intelligent WR ever to play the game to me. Guess Belichick must have coached some real dumbasses. And like I mentioned in my first post, I'm not taking anything away from his ability, he's the best WR in the game. But referring to him having impeccable smart just colors you as a blind homer. But I don't expect you to understand, it's all good.
Sgt. Ryan
Is Moss really better than TO. Seriously. Im not a huge To fan by any means, but TO has put up numbers everywhere he has been. Moss did nothing in Oakland, and nothing really in about 5 years before this yr.
