Crazysight
5 games left for Tom to do it (I'm not even going to include week 17 as the starters may be sitting by that point).
Bill Swerski
I wonder how many more Brady would need if Dungy had gone for it on fourth down in blowouts back in 2004.

Not too many. By the way, Brady could have easily had a 6th touchdown this week at the end of the third, but instead they eleected to not "run-up-the-score" and keep it on the ground instead. Of course, they scored anyways. And of course, then he sat for the entire 4th quarter (as usual, more-or-less). Crazysight
If he does indeed shatter Peyton's previous mark (which, barring an injury to himself, it certainly seems will happen), and the Patriots are able to have a perfect season (that's still the biggest 'if'), it will be pretty darned hard for anyone to state that there has ever been a better NFL team without sounding like either a lunatic or a fool. There certainly wouldn't have ever been a team as dominant. Edited November 19, 2007 by Crazysight

Bill Swerski
Wow those grapes sure must be sour... Look, I have no problem admitting that the '07 Pats offense is better than the '04 Colts offense. Their offense line is a lot better, they have a lot more depth at WR, and their defense is much better (giving the offense more possessions). And I really don't care about Brady breaking the single-season TD record, especially since Peyton's career numbers blow his away and that he has about zero chance of catching him. But the fact remains that Dungy never would've gone for it on fourth down in the second half with 30- and 40-point leads. If Belichick feels the need to prove a point by padding team/individual stats in blowouts, that's his prerogative. But I don't see how those numbers are comparable to those on teams whose coaches play the game simply to win, rather than to annihilate.
