Rockerbraves
(Thursday) USC -3 @ Arizona State (Could end up deciding PAC 10 Championship or which team earns a BCS at large bid) (Friday) LSU -12 vs. Arkansas (LSU has clinched a spot in the SEC Championship but need a win to keep their NC hopes alive) Texas -5 1/2 @ Texas A&M (Win by Texas coupled with a Sooner loss puts the Longhorns in the Big 12 Champioship) Hawaii -4 vs. Boise State (Winner could get a BCS at large bid) (Saturday) West Virginia -17 vs. Connecticut (Big East Championship and an automatic BCS. WV has to like their chances of getting to the dome should they win out) Kansas -2 vs. Missouri <neutral site> (Winner earns a spot in the Big 12 Championship and keeps their NC hopes alive) Kentucky -2 1/2 vs. Tennessee (Simple Vols win they play LSU in the SEC Championship Game) Oregon -2 1/2 @ UCLA (Oregon still can win PAC 10 and play in the Rose Bowl) Georgia -3 1/2 @ Georgia Tech (Georgia win coupled with a Vols lost puts the Bulldogs in the SEC Championship Game) Oklahoma -12 1/2 vs. Oklahoma State (Chokahoma can still win the Big 12 South and play spoiler to the Big 12 chances of winning the NC) Virginia Tech -3 @ Virginia (Winner gets a spot in the ACC Championship and a shot at the automatic BCS bid) Ohio State off till the year 2008! BS Miscreant
I'm most interested in the rankings on Sunday. Although, there is definitely some good watching this week. Will KU with a quality win over a top 5 team and an undefeated record be the #1 team in the country? Will Mizzou with a quality win over an undefeated #2 jump WVU? Will a dominating performance by WVU prevent that from happening? I too by the way really like the Mountaineers chances of playing in the big game because I think the chances of KU and Mizzou both losing a game are excellent. wildcat2334
Really looking forward to Mizzou/Kansas - should be a great game - beware of the Sun Devils........IF, and it is a bifgif bc IMO USC is as good as anyone in the country right now. BUT, if ASU beats USC Thur and takes care of UA - they will jump OSU and should jump WVU, certainly with the best resume of the 3. BUT, if ASU beats USC Thur and takes care of UA - For a guy that continues to blast teams based on his perceived SOS , you sure like to make a bold statement like this knowing that USC hasn't beaten a SINGLE team in the current top 30 in the country. USC has lost to the ONLY ranked team they've faced all season , in addtion they haven't beaten anyone ranked in the current top 30 or 35 , so how you can slam a team like the Bucks for a poor SOS, then contradict yourself, by pimping a team that has ZERO quaility wins is beyond me. Let's be real, the best team USC has beaten this season in Nebraska, yes a 5-6 Cornhuskers team that surrendered 76 to Kansas USC , the best team in the county, for a guy like you that always wants facts or stats to back up anyone's post, this is by far the most absurb post I've seen on these forums in quite sometime. Again- reading comprehension- I know you are a little slow, so stay with me here- please show me where I said they were the best team in the country - I said they are playing as well as anyone- big deifference, and with this year being the year of parity- not too far off yeah, it is such a stretch to think the #11 team in the BCS is playing as well as anyone....... bc the teams ahead of USC are so dominant. I doubt many teams will want to line up against SC in a BCS game-

I was stating my opinion to the resident midwest moran. before I jump someone's case for stating an opinion that the #11 BCS, and probably the most talented collection of players is as good as anyone in a year where no one is standing out??? right........ I haven't seen a single team that is that good, and in a crazy year like this - you bet your ass USC is as good as LSU or Mizzou/KU

Beware Wildcat, this oft-confused term "b1tch slap" has resulted in many pimps calling themselves bitches rather than describing their abuse. Coffeeman
Interesting to see USC favored by 3 in the desert on Turkey Day - I thought AZSt. was ranked higher? Someone in Vegas disagrees with the BCS folks I see. But if Carpenter has been on his back all year, it won't get better vs. the Trojans, and it tells me Erickson's scheme is throwing down the field a lot. If they don't alter their plans significantly to protect him better, or hit a couple deep balls early to alter the D, it could be a USC blowout and even an injury to their QB. Overall it will be a great weekend of food, family and football, followed by an even bigger weekend on 12/1. Great time of year - unless you're a Big 10 fan and have to just watch the other guys play. But true fans can still enjoy the 'pageantry'. So Happy Thanksgiving to all..... Reading into a line in complete Guess that means you are going to load up on Arizona State at home plus the points. Wish I could be so confident. Sgt. Ryan
I miss the days when OU/Nebraska lined up and played every Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. Of course Im still interested in OU / Okie St this weekend, but it certainly isnt as big of a game, from a Sooner perspective now.
Rockerbraves
Read somewhere that the Cowboys wanted this rivalry game played every year on Thanksgiving day but the Sooners said no. The problem I have with LSU/Arkansas playing on Friday is that it interferes with our High School football playoffs. We're home this weekend so it's not bad, but those parents of the players traveling any distance in the State will have to miss the LSU game. More importantly, putting college football on TV on Friday night takes away from the one sacred thing high school football has always had.
