Chief Dick Posted November 20, 2007 Share Posted November 20, 2007 Yeah, I know. The sky is falling. Went to the liquor store down the street from my house today. This same store burned down last year, and they reopen about 2 months ago. Nice couple, low 40's with little kids. I was real glad to see them reopen. So I pull up today and there is a cop car in front and a news crew across the street. (which made me cringe a bit since I was parked directly in front of the liquor store in a company vehicle at 3:30 this afternoon ) Anyone, I go in and they had just been robbed at gunpoint. Seems like the wife was working today and someone came in and made her get on the floor and pointed a gun at her head and took all their cash. She seemed ok, but the husband was really frazzled. I know them pretty well so we chatted for a few minutes and told them how sorry I was. So I decided to splurge on Bud Light longnecks instead of my usual cheap Busch Light. I'm pretty confidant I will be spending some good money in there this fall on wine and more expensive beer to help them make up some of the cash.
