KC Crazy
I had to leave the house during the MNF game right when Chatman got hurt. I didn't see what the injury was but it looked like his forearm. Did they report what it was? I checked the posts here, Rotowire, etc and didn't see any updates. He looked like he was in a bunch of pain.
Grits and Shins
I heard something with his shoulder
irish
From what they said during the game, it was a neck injury. Although I haven't seen anything either and it seemed as though Chatman was favoring his hand or forearm.

You could see he really took a shot on that play and Jaws said it looked like a hand injury. He grabbed his hand to hold his whole right side up and then grabbed at his pectorial muscle. I was really concerned he was gonna collapse.....that was a big time hit.
skylive5
Believe that the reason he was holding his hand and then his shoulder was because there was no feeling in them after the helmet-to-helmet hit. The announcers later said that it was a neck injury. With a neck injury you can end up with numbness and that is what it sounds like to me. The announcers weren't really into what was happening to people. I mean, it took them forever to understand that the reason Williams was hurt wasn't because of the hit but because his shoulder was stepped on pretty darn hard. And the more I look at that play the more I think it was deliberate. The hit on Chatman is going to result in a fine I would think. Leading with the head really isn't conducive to good health for either player.

I was watching the game and that hit. The guy watching it with me says he swore he saw Chatman get up thinking he was ok, and then his hand just flopped around like there was no wrist there and he went back down. His opinion is broken wrist. I haven't read up on it though, so I'm not sure. Tim

I saw the play and his neck was jarred pretty good from that hit. (helmet to helmet). Hopefully it's nothing more than soreness or a sprain from the impact. Square
I actually thought he had a broken collar bone or something from the way Chatman was acting. I realize that probably isn't the case now but I believe neck injury far more than just a wrist or arm. You can still walk off the field if you break your wrist (remember Seau last year). Not only that, but the replay clearly showed no contact to the wrist.
CaptainHook
They showed Chatman with a large ice pack on the back of his neck, so I'm guessing it was a neck injury, as was reported later in the game.
