Rockerbraves
Wonder if it was the Carr fractions at Michigan who leaked the Miles to Michigan story? Not that it surprises anyone, but you would have thought they could have waited a few hours. It seems pretty obvious that Miles and Carr are going to have a tough time working together thru any kind of a transition period. If it is officially announced that Miles is leaving should LSU let him coach in the BCS NC game?

Why couldn't he have held off with any deal at least until after this game?

The only thing good about this is LSU has officially now removed itself from any possible national championship for the Miles tenure. budlitebrad
They're having a press conference at 1:45, so that definitely means he is staying at LSU.

theeohiostate
Saw his press conference. $$$ is what is keeping Coach dipshiat at LSU, NOTHING else. Michigan doesn't pay the big bucks. What a shame for Bucks and Tigers fans alike.
Rockerbraves
ATLANTA -- LSU Chancellor Sean O’Keefe has reached an agreement with Les Miles on an amendment to his contract that will secure Miles’ position as head football coach of the Tigers. Miles authorized his representative, George Bass, to negotiate the terms of the contract with LSU. Terms and conditions of the contract have been agreed upon and will be presented at the next meeting of the LSU Board of Supervisors on December 6. Miles will not entertain any offer from the University of Michigan to become the Wolverines head coach or from any other institution. The University of Michigan on Wednesday requested permission to discuss its open head football coaching position with Miles. http://www.lsusports.net/ViewArticle.dbml?...;DB_OEM_ID=5200

Rockerbraves
Coach Miles a Michigan alumnus joked that Herbstreit's report was an Ohio State plot to undermine the game. Herbsreit is a former Ohio State quarterback.
theeohiostate
Coach Miles a Michigan alumnus joked that Herbstreit's report was an Ohio State plot to undermine the game. Herbsreit is a former Ohio State quarterback. May be, but doubt it. Herby has been more unbias then any ESPN analyst when it comes to the Bucks, and it sickens me that an OSU grad doesn't pimp his school like he should. Props to Herby for putting his real feelings aside and doing an outstanding job.
GWPFFL BrianW
Herbstreit actually does a really nice job of not being biased towards Ohio State. He shows his Buckeye love at times, like any HUMAN would, but for the most part he's one of the more objective analysts on ESPN. The only thing I dislike about him, is he loves the chalk more and more. It's been really evident this year, because you can tell he has been very frustrated with all the upsets.
