irish
Jets: Coles to give it a go 12/02/07 12:00 PM THE NEWS Laveranues Coles is active and will start for the Jets on Sunday. Coles was able to practice on a limited basis during the week, but his ankle has apparently healed enough so that he can at least give it a go on Sunday. The Jets will lean heavily on Coles with Jerricho Cotchery sitting this one out after undergoing finger surgery earlier in the week.

Grits and Shins
lCOLES ACTIVE, WILL START VS. DOLPHINS | Posted Sunday December 2, 2007 @ 09:19 PT According to reports out of Miami this morning, Laveranues Coles is active and will start today's game against the Dolphins. His presence will be important with Jerricho Cotchery sidelined by an injured finger. As noted in a previous update, Cotchery reportedly underwent surgery on the finger earlier this week and his status for the remainder of the season is in question. As for Coles, he first sprained an ankle on Nov. 18 before sitting out against Dallas last Thursday. Brad Smith and Justin McCareins will be asked to pick up the pace in Cotchery's absence.
