ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- Detroit Lions wide receiver Roy Williams is likely to miss the rest of the regular season because of a sprained knee.

Williams

Lions coach Rod Marinelli announced Monday that Williams has a sprained posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and that he will miss "several weeks." Marinelli said the injury was similar to the one sustained by cornerback Stanley Wilson in the Thanksgiving Day loss to Green Bay, after which Wilson was put on injured reserve.

Detroit also lost reserve safety LaMarcus Hicks to a broken ankle, while cornerback Travis Fisher was undergoing tests on his injured wrist.

I guess Mr. Kitna isn't getting anywhere near the 10 wins he predicted this year !!

Ahh yes. A TEam limping into the FF playoffs absolutely needed to hear this news. :D

same here but, I'll tell ya....I'm kind of relieved that I don't have to speculate if he is going to have a good day or a 3 catch 33 yard effort. The talent is there but the consistency is horrible. I wonder what I can pull of the scrap heap for him....

Derrick Ward is out for the season as well.

Yeah... and Les Miles is leaving LSU right? Theyve had reporting issues all year, so Ill wait until it is confirmed by the team. Although, as late in the year as it is, I wouldnt be surprised, but ESPN has done a crap job this year.

Calvin Johnson........Come on Down!!!!

I was thinking Mcdonald or Furrey.Johnson hasnt been that impressive other than the amount of dropped balls and pass interference calls he gets away with.

With Williams out for half of the game yesterday, Calvin Johnson still only managed one reception against a Defense that can definitely be passed upon.
