pig devilz
so when the Patriots were blowing teams away for the first 10 games of the season (ok the Boys game wasn't a blow out but they still put up 48) the talk was they were the greatest, can't be stopped, blah, blah, blah...... so now, in the last 2 games, you see a different type of winning. The 60 Minute Men. which shows more of what you need to win a Championship? 'cruise control' Patriots or the 'make a few more plays than your opponent to win the game' Patriots? after watching tonights game, living threw the 'Snow Bowl' and watching them win 3 Super Bowls by 3 points, i'l take the later... though the blow outs are fun and a helluvalot less stressful..... bushwacked
I don't really understand the point of your question. In Weeks 1-10, the Pats totally dominated every opponent. In weeks 11 through 12 they squeaked by lesser teams in the same fashion other "good" teams have done all year long. Right now there appears to be 5 or so "good" teams that could win any given game. The Eagles laid the blueprint and the Ravens came oh so close to accomplishing that mission. The Pats are no longer feared by anybody in the NFL, including the Dolphins. cdrudge
I don't like them period. They are classless when they blowout a team and it's obvious the league wants them to go undefeated as when they play a team that actually has a chance to beat them, the refs give it to them in the end. But I'm not biased or anything.

Chuck Norris 8
The Pats are the team to beat; PERIOD!!! Sure, they have been deemed the hated team in the NFL this season, but why? Doing what they get paid to do? WIN EVERY GAME! Sure, they've had their bumps. The now dubbed "Spy Gate" scandal. But ask yourself this before you judge one of the greatest teams every: What if it was my team crushing the league? What if Bilicheck was coaching your team, and got caught taping (which every team does, just don't get caught), and then went off to prove a point to every team in the NFL? What if your team just aquired the best steal in the NFL (Randy Moss for a 4th round pick)? What if your team PLAYED like a team, and didn't bitch about the Refs or anything else like a real team? What if nobody was around and a tree fell in the woods? Would it make a sound? Okay, that should spark some bite... Long live Good Football teams, and good looking women!!! Avernus
they were warned by the mob to stop blowing teams out because they were losing money... some random mob thug (in a group of 5 or 6): "we may or may not have to whack your team... if you don't stop uhhh doing what you have been doing....we can be very persuasive" Belichick:

Bronco Billy
So, we have a NE team that was already being annoited the greatest ever to play in the NFL to suddenly one that can barely squeak by very mediocre teams with significant weaknesses. I said it before (when NE was blowing teams out), I'll say it again - despite this NE's team incredible passing O, they are in for trouble in the playoffs with a very average running game & run D. This NE team is just begging to get taken down, and watching them get eliminated in the playoffs would sure be sweet given the rhetoric of the team & the NE fans this year. Cunning Runt
I hate the Patriots. Let's start there. That said, I think both winning ways are impressive, expecially when looked at as a whole picture. Winning big game-in, game-out was certainly impressive in and of itself, but finding a way to win tight games when things aren't going as well says a lot about a team's character and like them or not, the Pats have it. As much as I hate 'em, I think they do go undefeated and win the SB. I hope I'm wrong though as I would like nothing more than to see them get thair a-ss rocked by Indy in the playoffs. Not being able to stop the run without eight in the box may also hurt them down the stretch. and watching them get eliminated in the playoffs would sure be sweet given the rhetoric of the team & the NE fans this year. I concur in general, although it should be pointed out that not all of their fans are complete assholios.

Sgt. Ryan
Undefeated or not, winning big or not, at the end of the season the Pats will still be Super Bowl champs. Not a chance. The Pats mojo is on fumes right now. No running game, terrible run defense, and now the secondary looks like swiss cheese, ala Jay Feely. This team has 1 great element, its passing game. Medicore to average everywhere else. Thus far that has been enough, but it wont be in the end. Edited December 4, 2007 by Sgt. Ryan

Bill Swerski
If you can't run or stop the run, those home field playoff games may not be such a blessing. Despite the many problems that the Colts have right now, they have a much better chance of beating the Pats and their spread offense in Foxboro in January than on the fast track of the Dome. They just have to make sure that they can get there, as Pittsburgh hasn't exactly looked like a push-over.

Bronco Billy
I agree. Colts in Foxboro in Janurary favors the Colts. That will be the Superbowl. I remember a certain NE team being written off in the SB vs a Rams team that was sure to bury them not so long ago... I wouldn't exactly hand NE or any other AFC team the title just yet. DAL's secondary has been playing better and GB has found a running game. Both are legitimate teams and one is likely to be waiting when it's time to dance the big dance.
