Square
I think it would be big for PItt to have him back this week against the Pats (let this be the only time New England is mentioned in this thread). Just haven't found any good info. I know we have Steeler fans here, so does anybody have some local info? The last update I found said that Tomlin was hopeful he would be back last week (which obviously didn't happen). Any news?
MrTed46
I need him back desperately. Any info would be grealy appreciated. High ankle sprains are tricky and they tend to take longer than 2 weeks to heal so I am not optimistic.
Sturphy
I haven't heard anything optimistic at all. Kinda grim. Would be nice to have him back.
kingfish247
Just sounds like we'll have to see if/how well Santonio practices... The Steelers could welcome the return of three injured starters this week as they prepare to play the unbeaten New England Patriots Sunday. Wide receiver Santonio Holmes, strong safety Troy Polamalu and left offensive tackle Marvel Smith all could start against the Patriots, coach Mike Tomlin said. Each has missed the past two games -- Holmes with a high ankle sprain, Polamalu with a sprained knee and Smith with a disc problem in his back. Tomlin said each will try to practice today, when the players return from having two days off since they defeated Cincinnati Sunday to run their record to 9-3. "It depends on how they perform in practice," he said. Full article
SuperCharger
I kinda hope he sits this one out. I don't want to have to choose between him and Driver and Marshall. Everytime I've had to choose two out of those three this year I have been burned. Him sitting out makes it easy for me. Selfish, I know. kingfish247
Holmes practices, per local station WPXI... Holmes, Polamalu, Marvel Smith Back On The Field POSTED: 4:57 pm EST December 5, 2007 UPDATED: 5:00 pm EST December 5, 2007 PITTSBURGH -- Santonio Holmes, Troy Polamalu and Marvel Smith all returned to practice for the Steelers on Wednesday. That leaves Najeh Davenport as the only player in any real doubt at this time for Sunday's game against the New England Patriots. The Steelers said Wednesday that while they realize how big of a game this one is, they're trying to treat it like any other game. full

Square
You the man. My other WRs have terrible matchups this week (and I don't trust L. Evans even against the Dolphins). Hopefully all goes well.

Skippy
Local reports are all saying that he and Troy looked pretty decent today and barring any setbacks both look like they will play on Sunday.
tbimm
My local locks the ENTIRE roster at the start of tomorrow nights game. I would love to use him in the first round playoff game but I cant afford a goose egg. He will sit for another week unless the news is stellar tomorrow. Roy was filling in for Santonio the past few weeks, but with him going down, this is great news!
