Cowboyz1
This week I am a huge Steeler fan. For the past few weeks the Pats have been running the gauntlet of their own making. They have been softened week by week by lesser opponents playing the best and hardest they can play for 57 or so minutes, throwing haymakers until exhaustion, while discovering at the very end the loser team does what it does best, lose. However, maybe it's not so easy scoring 48,49,52,56 points in a game. They just might be finding out that scoring all those points early may leave them coming up wanting them back in exchange for fresh legs come Dec and Jan? Baltimore gave the game away as did Philly. Credit the Patriots for taking advantage of gift wrapped opportunities but they were beaten twice on the field, but not on the scoreboard, which is the only thing that counts. I am certainly seeing what everyone else is also, there are more then chinks in the Patriot armor as of late. Why? Could be for a number of reasons but this is what we know now: The Pats CAN be run on The Pats CAN be thrown on Brady CAN be gotten to The Pats ARE warring down The Pats can be stopped on Offense Yet the Patriots are still Perfect And now here come the Steelers. A hard nosed, smash mouth team with a D that can bring it. I don't see the Steelers giving it up. Time to slay the beast I say. I get the feeling that this is the week. The pressure they applied early in the season trying to score 100 points a game looks like it's starting to take it’s toll. Think about all those extra snaps the starters took when they just as well could have been on the sideline resting up for December and January. They look like a team that is running out of gas to me, emotionally and physically. Or maybe it's just wishful thinking and the Steelers get stomped? The best team ever is on it's way to the Superbowl undefeated ripe for the Cowboys to pick and crush in the Greatest Game of the year! Cowboyz1
I thought this was funny. "The blueprint to beat the Patriots one week is to throw the ball and put pressure on New England QB Tom Brady. The blueprint the next week is to punch the Patriots in the mouth, run the football and put pressure on Brady. Can the Steelers throw the ball, punch the Patriots in the mouth, run the football and put pressure on Brady?" Pats had a couple letdown weeks but they will be up for this one and win by two touchdowns.
coachharry
They may have experienced some let downs lately, but I bet they get up for the Steelers. When you've been playing like they have its tough to stay at that intensity level each week. They probably coasted the past two weeks, and didn't expect the Eagles and Ravens to be so tough. I think they'll be ready for the Steelers and will win in another low scoring affair, low scoring by Patriots standards that is.
