kickers play
Just curious if anyone thinks he's worth a strt week 16 if he plays. Thats the Super Bowl week in my league and Roy might return by then. Im posting without even knowing who Detroit plays week 16 because I just noticed he was dropped in my local. Anyone have any experience with a player with a PCL strain in the past? Is it a injury that he can be effective if he returns week 16? My team has the bye week 14 and has a good chance at the Super Bowl this season. Henry and Housch have been pedestrian lately and wouldnt mind having another horse in the stable if he does return
kickers play
Ok Kansas City at Detroit week 16. I like that Roy's at home. Just wondering about PCL strains really. This is not a WDIS thread at all. Just wondering if anyone is holding out hope that he plays

Perchoutofwater
I thought he was pretty much ruled out for the rest of the season... I don't think he has been placed on IR yet. He could be back. Of course I'm still holding out hope that Terry Glenn comes back by week 17, so he is ready for the NFL playoffs.

You are correct in that he has not been placed on IR yet, but I beleive Martz said it was because they still had post-season hopes...IR would rule him out for the entire postseason. I dont think there was any specualtion that he could be back in 2-3 weeks.
Delicious_bass
In what is yet another reason to believe the writing/analysis/info on CBS Sucksline is a joke, they were the only place I saw that actually exclaimed Roy Williams OUT for season only to backtrack less than 48 hours later and advise owners not to drop him and even consider picking him up if they have room. From monday: Roy Williams out for year Updated 12/3/07 Williams, Roy WR DET News: Lions WR Roy Williams is expected to miss the rest of the regular season because of a sprained knee. Lions coach Rod Marinelli announced Monday that Williams has a sprained posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and that he will miss "several weeks." Analysis: Williams finishes the season with 63 catches for 836 yards and five touchdowns. He should be reserved or released in all Fantasy leagues unless you are holding onto him as a No. 2 option in keeper leagues. He should be fine for the 2008 season. From wednesday: Lions won't rule Williams out for '07 Updated 12/5/07 Williams, Roy WR DET News: Lions coach Rod Marinelli said Wednesday that the team isn't putting WR Roy Williams on Injured Reserve yet. Williams strained his right PCL in Week 13 at Minnesota. "I think he still has a chance to get back," Marinelli said. "I believe that right now, so that's the path we're going. I think we're going to get him back." Analysis: Williams shouldn't be dropped just yet in Fantasy play since there's still a glimmer of hope that he plays again in 2007. In fact, he has been dropped in many leagues, and owners might want to consider picking him up if they can spare the roster room. However, expect to be without him for Weeks 14 and 15 at the very least. I find it funny that they proclaim him done, then advise picking him up because many owners have surprisingly dropped him. And to think, people complain about the consistency of the info around here
chiefjay
Done for the year. Once the Lions lose the next few they won't risk further injury to Roy.
Donutrun Jellies
Done for the year. Once the Lions lose the next few they won't risk further injury to Roy. Kitna says they're winning 10, so it doesn't sound like they'll lose the next few.
