GWPFFL BrianW
My playoff would consist of 12 teams 12 Teams Top 4 Teams get First Round Byes Must win your conference to receive Bye. No limits on teams from a single conference The BCS Standings would determine who gets in Conference teams can play each other no later than the Final Four (unless it's not avoidable) So with that in mind... this years Tournament would look like this... First Round 8. Kansas vs 9. West Virginia 5. Georgia vs 12. Arizona State 6. Missouri vs 11. Florida 7. Southern California vs Hawaii KU/WVU vs 1. Ohio State UGA/ASU vs 4. Oklahoma MU/UF vs 3. Virginia Tech SC/Haw vs 2. Louisiana State Had to flip-flop UF and ASU to meet the criteria, otherwise it woulda been UGA vs Fla. In addition to this, instead of having coaches and/or media vote, I would have a selection committee that does nothing but watch games all year long vote, and only vote at the end of the season, combine their vote with the computers as the current structure. Lastly, all profits would go to me, because as you know, it's all about the money. Edited December 11, 2007 by GWPFFL BrianW

Rockerbraves
When I saw the 12 team matchups it got me to thinking that I'm not crazy about a 12 or 16 team playoff. Granted this is an unusual season so inviting that many teams makes more sense this year than most, but as a football fan I wouldn't want to risk crowning a chump national champion based off of a couple of weeks of football versus an entire season. Eight teams would be more than enough and I could easily live with 4 since that would likely mean the SEC can keep their championship game. Personally I would not want to cheapen a conference championship for the sake of a playoff.
