Chief Dick
to get Direct TV and the Sunday ticket. I'm being forced to watch the Chiefs/Titans today with no other option for the noon game. And the Chiefs are gonna stink next year too.
Chavez
I can't imagine not wanting to primarily focus on my team's game, sucky or not. But be warned - the Ticket is EX-PEN-SIVE, and it's tough to kick the habit. I just got rid of it this year; I miss it a little, but not that much. Chief Dick
I can't imagine not wanting to primarily focus on my team's game, sucky or not. It's not really that. I just want options. They have been pretty frustrating to watch this year. When it reaches a point where I can call the plays from my couch and be 85% right....that's bad. He's an OK motivator, but "competent" as an NFL head coach is about as high a level of praise as I can muster for him.

He's an OK motivator, but "competent" as an NFL head coach is about as high a level of praise as I can muster for him. Because Carl loves familiarity. Herm was a coach here with Marty's staff. Carl has been doing this for years. And the contracts he dishes out are for guys who are "his guys". He has really mismanaged the football side of things for this organization. To be fair, he brought them up from some real dark times in Chiefs football history.
Chavez
Actually I'm very lucky in that department, my girlfriend loves football AND drinking Yeah, my wife told me she "loved football" when we met. Turns out she liked the local team. Big diff. She still likes drinking, at least.
Ursa Majoris
Yeah, my wife told me she "loved football" when we met. Turns out she liked the local team. Big diff. She still likes drinking, at least. No problem then. Just get her $hitfaced on Sunday morning and put her back to bed. Then you can watch football in peace. You're forgetting I have a 5-month old. For peace I have to go out into the unheated garage and listen to the radio while drinking cheap brandy out of a flask. Whoo. Chief Dick
When I first met my current wife I told her that every Sunday during football season I would be watching football and drinking beer. So don't plan on any kids birthday parties, couples showers, or any such events. Just gotta set the expectation early.
H8tank
But be warned - the Ticket is EX-PEN-SIVE, Expensive is relative... maybe it is expensive for a blue collar delivery boy. I can't imagine not having my pick of games each sunday. Watch two games at once, never watch a commercial. Worth every penny.
Bill Swerski
Yeah, my wife told me she "loved football" when we met. Turns out she liked the local team. Big diff. She still likes drinking, at least. My wife is the opposite. She loves the Colts, but is a very casual drinker. Since we don't have the Ticket, she makes for a great designated driver on the way back from the bar.

Watch two games at once, never watch a commercial. Worth every penny. 100% price increase over 5 years is excessive. But the market seems to be bearing it. It was a tough choice to keep it up last year, it wasn't that tough of a choice to get rid of it this year. It simply hit the point where it WASN'T worth every penny to me any more. Bill Swerski
Expensive is relative... maybe it is expensive for a blue collar delivery boy. Since mortgages in Oklahomo run about $300/month, I'm assuming that you have more disposable income than people who live in the nice parts of the country.
