coachharry
I cannot remember a crazier Sunday of Fantasy Football. After going 7-5 and qualifying for the playoffs via points as the 5th seed, I found myself in the Conference Championship against the league Juggernaut who went 10-2 behind Romo, Barber, Moss, SJax, Witten.... After the noon games, I was in no shape to win my game. Galloway, a fat zero. Grant and Lynch nowhere near their normal level of performance. Kellen Winslow snowed in. Fitz, a TD but not much yardage. My high point was the Cleveland D, with a safety and a shut-out. Not looking good. I was down significantly for the 3:00 kick-off. I had resigned myself to losing. The games get going and Manning and Gonzalez aren’t doing anything great, so no hopes. But then a funny thing happens. Romo is playing bad and getting worse. Maybe there is a chance. Jessica Simpson is in the stands, Romo is going to bomb, I can see it coming. 4th quarter, watching the Cowboys. Manning hits Gonzales for a TD, my game is now tied. But he has Romo and Barber, and the Boys are driving. I’m now down by 1, and Romo throws another pick for a -1! Game tied! Could it happen? Westy lays down at the one, run out the clock, game over! Tie game! But wait, my tie breaker is Manning, good for 18 points. His tie breaker? Romo, 9 points, let the celebration begin. My lowly 7-5 team of waiver wire rejects has eliminated Brady in round 1,and then Romo and Moss for conference championship. I’m feeling pretty good next week for the whole enchilada. Ralph Furley
Way to rub it in. As if most of us weren't feeling bad enough. Edited December 18, 2007 by Ralph Furley
coachharry
The other conference championship game was just as crazy. Their juggernaut was down 3 points going into Sunday night, only NY D left to play They score 2. The victory was bittersweet. I hate seeing the Cowboys falter so bad, not a good outlook for rest of season. And, I beat my good friend, who was actually at my house watching the Boys game. Business is business though!
