Steelers Update; CB Taylor In, LT Smith Out

Ed Bouchette, Pittsburgh Post Gazette - [Full Article]

Steelers CB Ike Taylor returned to practice Wednesday and will start tonight against the Rams. Other injured players returned to practice including DE Travis Kirschke (ribs) and LB Clark Haggans (knee), although Haggans is still questionable and could make way for rookie LB Lamar Woodley. WR Nate Washington (ankle) will likely play as well. Also LT Marvel Smith will not play with a bad back along with special team ace LB Clint Kriewaldt (neck).

C Romberg To Start Thursday

- [Full Article]

Rams C Brett Romberg will start after playing just one of the last seven games due to an ankle injury. C Andy McCullom, who skips most mid-week practices from knee issues, will back up Romberg but likely will return to the lineup for Week 17.

Aaron Smith is injured and out for the year. In the two games that he has been out, the Steelers have given up more rushing yards then normal (the first Cincy game & last week against Jacksonville). Other than that, Clark Haggans might be out, but, that shouldn't have much impact on stopping the run.
