Puddy
...not Smackbowl style. My buddy runs a weekly pick 'em contest during the regular season and is looking for ideas for a playoff contest (not using players, just picking teams). Any ideas. irish
You could always do box pools sort of like you'd do for the SuperBowl for each Playoff game or only specific games. That way you could draw it up now and start it and then add the teams later as they've been decided. You can use their names or assign numbers to people and write them into the boxes if you have enough people and then duplicate the same arrangement of names/numbers for each Playoff matchup and just change the surrounding numbers and teams playing. Once you know what the pot is then you can assign winnings to each pool, whether you do it by quarters or just 1st and 2nd half or just for the final score. It will all depend on the pot size. Obviously the minimal winnings should at least earn back money spent on boxes bought (although that could depend on individual boxes purchased per person). You could also do a weekly pick 'ems with the tiebreaker being the final score of the SuperBowl. Just a couple thoughts.
