Rockerbraves
This is the first three minutes of a motivational video that Tressel and his staff prepared for the kids to watch over Christmas break. If this video doesn't fire up the buckeye nation nothing can. http://www.elevenwarriors.com/2008/01/take...ee-minutes.html

theeohiostate
some time agon a few Florida and LSU fans got together for an orgy and started chanting SEC..........SEC.............SEC........... What they were really trying to say was SEX , but as the story goes................
theeohiostate
Finally all the SEC fans caught onto tit and started chanting SEC at every game against outside conferences, completely dismissing their own school , and no regard to if their team was losing. I can only assume that due to the civil war, inbreeding, being the butt of many jokes, having piss-poor edumacation systems, etc; then regional pride over college football is all you got to hang your hat on. Rockerbraves
IMO Tressel would be better off making it mandatory that each of his Slo-hio players visit this forum and read some of my post.
theeohiostate
Quick question...........................How many was it again? You know, how many bowl games has the sec won out of sec country ?
Rockerbraves
Six so far. Looking to set a NCAA record with a 7th bowl victory down in New Orleans. Seems only fitting the bowl record will be set by defending a National Championship by the #1 conference in college football.
theeohiostate
Once again when pressed for facts and answers ,you, like so many of your counterparts side step the issue. You have won ZERO games this bowl season in NON sec territory. To suggest otherwise shows your ignorance. It reality the SEC has played only 1 game outside it's conference doors. We all saw how that worked out for ArKANSAS. Wanted to get an answer to a question that has long bothered me. Why do you refer to yourselves as the SEC ? Didn't you fellas know that Southeastern is one word? It's NOT South Eastern Conference assbrackward kin folks Edited January 3, 2008 by theeohiostate

'canes2004
You guys are funny. The lack of respect shown for each other's teams/conferences is pretty amazing and now your bringing up the Civil War and everything. Didn't think it could be worse than last year but boy was I wrong.

Rockerbraves
Wonder if Tressel's is second guessing his unconventional motivational tactics? You know the things like the motivational DVD and changing the combination of the lock to the sports complex to 4114 to remind his players of last year's lopsided BCS NC game against the Gators. Would think most coaches would have choose to put a loss like that behind them. Instead Tressel threw it in their faces for the past 365 days. Apparently Tressel wanted his players to come out angry for the LSU game. At least that's the message I got from watching the DVD. Granted football is one of those sports where controlled anger can be a benefit, however based off the number of unsportsmanship conduct penalties the buckeyes committed you could easily come to the conclusion that the Sweatervest motivational tactic backfired. Buckeyes are normally a well disciplined team, yet here they had kids like Brian Hartline making stupid silly unsportsmanship penalties. IMO the players were trying too hard to show or should I say, please their head coach abit too much. My guess is that Tressel won't be changing any combinations to 3824 anytime soon. Rockerbraves
Another sign that Tressel's motivational tactics backfired. The way it sounds, some Ohio State players were rougher on each other than they were on Louisiana State. "I couldn't believe that guys were fighting with other guys, this isn't a barroom. You don't need to be fighting with your own teammates. We were here to play football, (but) some guys didn't get that," a still-stunned Alex Boone, the massive Ohio State tackle, said as he stood in the middle of the nearly empty Superdome field an hour after his Buckeyes had been embarrassed by LSU, 38-24, in the BCS Championship Game. "Everyone was fighting with each other and I'm like, 'Calm down. It's OK. It's halftime.' But everyone's like, 'This is your fault,' and 'No, this is your fault.' I was like 'Calm down, we got a half to go.' But some guys panicked like the game was over ... " ... On the field, the personal fouls, the roughing the punter, the stupid things, that's not Ohio State football." http://www.daytondailynews.com/s/content/o...010908arch.html
