As thousands decend on NO, the city becomes a sea of purple and gold, with spots of scarlet and gray. The Saints sit with the #10 pick in the upcoming draft and word around town is that Laurinaitas and Jenkins are two of their targets. Now only seeing them once on TV this year will get to see them on Monday against the beloved Tigers. there will be many with there purple and gold watching these two to see how they would look in black and gold.

GO TIGERS

Yeah, that schtick was funny the first few times, now it's getting pretty lame. :D

+100. Several intelligent posters here have debunked the "SEC Speed" myth a number of times.

Brian, you're better than this. Don't fall to TOSU or Sarge's level. :D

I'm not the one that created it. Posters here and elsewhere, not named TOSU and Sgt. Ryan have said it as the main reason the SEC is better than everyone.

Yeah, and in another post I correctly pointed out the entity responsible for the "SEC Speed" myth - OSU's football team. If they had decided to show up and play last year rather than lay an egg and get run off the field, the SEC speed myth is dead. That game gave it all the legs it needed - seeing the consensus #1 team and heavy favorite getting badly "outspeeded" by an SEC team on that stage was impossible to overlook. The 6-2 bowl record (regardless of what you Big 10 homers think the quality of opponents were) doesnt hurt this year, and if LSU beats OSU convincingly (by 10 or more) then everyone will be saying the same thing next year.

Oh, damn Darin, I'm making sense again - please slap me to snap me out of it.

I'm confused. So is the SEC faster or not?

I had to look this up, and I apparently was wrong.

At first, I thought the guy looked small-ish to play LB in the NFL. But apparently, he's 6'3" and 244 lbs. If that's accurate, well then he'll be a terrific NFL LB.

He.. just... doesn't... look... that.... big. :D

I don't believe Laurinitis gets past the Patriots at #7 if he is available. Of course, you never know with the Pats.
