Grits and Shins
History says that not all the top seeds will advance to the next round. If IND and DAL win today then each conference championship would be between the 1 and 2 seeds. So which team falls today ... IND or DAL? Grits and Shins
I say that next week will feature all 1 vs 2.

DMD
all home teams won last year but not in any of the previous 8 years.

Savage Beatings
I agree... the underdogs just aren't as appealing this year. They'll have to play great AND catch a few breaks (turnovers, penalties, etc.) in order to upset. Nothing's impossible, but I'd keep my money on the favorites today. HowboutthemCowboys
#2 seeds are 26-8 in this round since 1990. per cbs. That does'nt seem right.
broncosn05
I think SD has the best chance.
Czarina
Of the two games, I'd love to see the Giants catch a little lightning in a bottle today. That would be stellar. As good as Dallas is, they're not above making some mistakes, Glenn hasn't played all year long. Of course, it only works if Peyton dyes his hair dark and plays for his brother... budlitebrad
IND should forfeit after that Oreo commercial I just saw. Edited January 13, 2008 by budlitebrad
DMD
IND should fprfeit after that Oreo commercial I just saw. I have to think Archie has made more money in commercials lately than he ever did playing football.
WaterMan
Looks like Manning is starting to choke the game away. I hope he wins though, so Moss can beat him at Foxboro.

Riffraff
I have to think Archie has made more money in commercials lately than he ever did playing football. I think he made a whopping $15k a year playing. I'd easily agree with you.

Czarina
Wow, that was just too much to hope for. It's like Christmas all over again. Exciting games, great finishes. SD is going to be out of their minds playing in NE next week. Could be a nasty game. I don't see NY being able to hang with GB, but stranger things have happened. BeeR
I predicted both. I hate that I was right. friggin Colts. From the 2Q on they looked so unsettled. Manning made a number of bad throws/decisions and the D all but mailed it in on SD's game-winning drive......where was the "new and improved" D? They tackled like Girl Scouts. And this against QB and RB backups. I'll never forget how when the Colts had the ball (I think it was 2d or 3d down w/about 3 mins left), they panned to Harrison and a couple other guys on the sidelines......and they looked so pathetic you'd think they had already lost. A playoff loss hasn't sucked this much since the NYJ fiasco. You might as well just mail NE the Lombardi trophy now.
